Thanks again guys for the praise of the Support Cruiser:cheer: It was really our plaesure to help for the day,,,,
I forgot to mention a BIG CONGRATS to Tracy & Kylie for going the distance on the day, you must both feel pretty chuffed ( probably a bit sore today too ) I was proud of you both;)

I would like to do the same run myself in the future, the area looked pretty good, from what I saw anyway;) I have checked the run on the GPS mapping & the loop out back of Putty is on there, as well as the hut & some other locations,,,,,,

Would also like to do the run to St Albans with the D`s if we can get it happening sometime after Easter, sounds like a cruisy day:)

Till we all meet again, a BIG CHEERS to ALL

Well I took TB’s advice and am now proud to call myself the Big Air Specialist (check the avatar photo – there’s got to be a huge 5cm underneath me  ). I must admit I did enjoy the drainage humps. Although I was a little bit hesitant after coming over that 2nd one only to find that huge hole on the other side. I did do a heap of jumps though. I think Yakka was behind me for a while so he might be able to vouch for me.

I lost my confidence early on in the day after hitting some sand. I don’t normally have a problem with sand so when I nearly broke my leg when trying not to fall off I was a little unnerved. I finally realised near the end of the day that for some reason I had got into the habit of sitting right up the front of the bike (I know I should be standing but I can be a little lazy sometimes, especially when I know that I will be riding something like 300kms) and hence had too much weight over the front wheel. After nearly doing the tango with Scotty when he was passing me in sand I shifted back in the seat and finally found my mojo and I was loving it. What would be really good is to have a section on the forum for technical advice i.e. when going through sand…… I haven’t looked so maybe there is an area already there for it. I was lucky in this instance that I worked it out for myself otherwise I would have finished the day feeling really disappointed with myself. I would also like to know a bit more about the right technique for cornering on dirt. I might put a post up about that sometime.

I really enjoyed everyone’s company and putting faces to some of the guys. And for those that were curious my water bag did not have to leak at all during the day. I was only kidding about that, honestly.

TB – Thanks for organising a great trip. I really enjoyed riding somewhere other than the Watagans and Killi/Sugarloaf.
Eagle – Once again Thankyou and as I said we plan to repay the favour.
Boulder and Yakka – Thanks for sweeping. Thankfully you didn’t actually have to sweep me out of the way at all.
Champo – Thanks for the moral support during the day
Tracy – be proud of yourself girl!
Thanks to all the guys for being so considerate when (everyone) passed me. I tried to be really considerate and stick to the left all of the time (other than when I nearly ran in Scotty) .

Sorry to all those guys I nearly took out when they were on corners. Sometimes I sort of get in my own world when I’m riding thinking about how fantastic it is and miss things like guys sitting on bikes at corners.

That’s it for me because DanD has just kindly reminded me that ‘people don’t want to read novels you know.’ (He’s just jealous cause I’ve got more to say than him, as always of course).
