Hi all My name is Jim and I live in a place called Bethanga which is in NE Victoria, near Albury/Wodonga. I ride a XT350 Yamaha 1993 model which I have just about finished rebuilding. I have been riding for about 50yrs and raced competitively for about 40yrs on both dirt and tar on bike retiring about 5yrs ago, now days I just enjoy a bit of trail riding around the many fire trails in the area. I also have an old GSX1100 Suzuki (1979 model) which is no longer regoed because I think it is to dangerous riding on the road around here to many incompetent drivers. At lest if you fall off in the bush you have got nobody to blame but your self. I am married with 6 children. Am retired mechanic in which I have worked mostly on motorcycles and truck.
PS My age is 63 in juneMarch 21, 2011 at 8:11 am #198546Hi Jimbo
You certainly qualify as an Old Bull!
We have a good crew down in Victoria so keep your eyes out for upcoming rides. By the sounds if it you have a wealth of experience so don’t be shy to throw your hat in the ring.Enjoy the site.

March 22, 2011 at 2:28 am #198548Thank you all for your kind greetings, it has been a long time since I have been made so welcome. As I said I would be only to happy to pass on some of my knowledge to ant one who wants to listen and that is not many. Being an old fart, every one thinks that you do not know to to much but I was taught most of my riding skills by a man by the name of Roy East who most of you have never herd of but he was many times Australian scrambles back in the 50ts. As you will understand that was a long time ago and as I have a lot of riding skills and experience there is not that would apply to todays riding mode. But if there is anything happening down here I would be only to happy to join in. That is providing my bike is up and running which it should be in a week or two, if I can get inspired enough(the old been there done that applies). Any way if there is anything I can help with please ask.

March 22, 2011 at 3:51 pm #198626Hi There xy-transit
thats not a problem but it might be a few weeks yet I have a few domestic job to do first to keep the cook happy. I think it involves a fare bit of painting and such, if I keep stalling the weather will be to cold for the paint to dry but not to go riding. I will put note on here when all is OK.
