I thought since the stir I helped cause the other day I better introduce myself.
I have only got back into riding mid last year after 8 years & that was mostly on road. So am very much the novice. both my kids are into riding so talked the handbrake into allowwing me to have a bike so I could chase kids around (WR 400).
Every time I come home from a ride I have either broken the bike or me, handbrake tells me I am too old I disagree enjoy every minute.
i hope to meet you all on some rides

PuddlesG’day puddles welcome from another newbie. Seems the kids have a lot to answer for my first go back on bikes was because my daughter was racing back in 2000. Was shortlived but life goes on and in 2008 along comes a mate with 4yr old son, mate decides as he wants son to ride he must learn to ride as well so he buys himself a bike (a crf450r as he had no idea about bikes and just liked its sound and hand polished frame in shop:woohoo:)so he can ride with son. This gave me the perfect chance to jump in again as he just had to have a ride buddy

January 5, 2009 at 9:03 pm #116878Yeah, don’t expect sympathy from anyone if you play with dirt bikes!!! I don’t even mention any sore spots to the missus. Although the broken foot and gravel rash was a little hard to keep secret.
