I need to take full advantage of this long weekend and I am going to spend it in Barrington and surrounding areas. I am going up to dungog on Friday afternoon and ride from there on Saturday morning. Saturday night camp will be anywhere we choose. Sunday night camp will be somewhere we can have a few beers and watch the Roosters win the grand final. Monday will be a shorter day to give us time to get home.
This will be a casual ride with nothing crazy but at the same time it won’t be for the weak and feeble, we can do a little exploring and check out some sights, and maybe even a latte.
    Post up if your keen.
If you want to trailer your bike to the start, I can organise secure parking for your car and trailer for the weekend.

Is there any power outlets along the way. I could come on my new machine.
I can pack all my gear in the basket

    G’Day PTW,

See if you can find the Thunderbolts trail that leads to Geales Ridge Rd this brings you down to The Barrington main rd. This is apparently locked some times but is supposed to be open and use to be the main access road across the tops.

Even if the gate is locked it would be a fantastic ride back as it is seldom used and is leaf littered and tunnelled in sections with trees.

PM me with your email address and Ill send you some GPS tracks we did on the run Lotsa broke his collar bone on last October

I dont think ive been on The barrington trail.
The Geales Ridge Rd runs north from the Scone Road just after Cobark on the Gloucester side of the Tops.

Further north still is the Tomalla Rd & Curricabark Rd which join are also must do’s if your in that area.
