Can anyone give me advice on what would be the best pants to buy for riding on my 640 Adventure.

I don’t want much just a pair of pants that are warm, cool, dry, have heaps of pockets, enough room for knee braces and that protect my ass when I cartwheel it down the road.

I wore a pair of Aldi, yes $50 Aldi bike pants to Birdville last year, they had no vents, didn’t keep me dry and I couldn’t wear my knee braces. They definitely weren’t cool when they were dry. But worst of all the buckles broke and the stiching failed at the end of the first day. My morning ritual involved getting tie wire and cable ties to repair the pants from the previous days ride.

But it was either do it on the cheap or not go. Anyway I’m heading out again soon and this time I’m going to spring for a pair of pants and would appreciate any good advice on what would serve me best

    Hi Steve,
Have a look at the KLIM range at Adventure Moto. There are many different types and prices but they are the ducks guts IMO! I wear the Dakar pant but they are not waterproof. I think the Traverse are though.

What they said ;) can only add that if you live close enough to Sydney it is worth going to Adventure moto and trying different sizes and models on. If you can’t the ring and chat to Steve or Janice and tell them your a old bull

I wear Dririder. Waterproof, vents, pockets, comfortable, proven and good value for money.

I have 2 pairs of the Aldi pants one L & one XL. Found them to be fine,, mine have the zippers all the way up to mid thigh and the XL ones have plenty of room for the knee braces. Grest value for the cost really depending on the use you have in mind,,,
Water does wick in after a few hours though

Saying that,,, I scored a pair of KTM Rallywear pants to match my jacket and they are a whole heap more comfy and cooler with all the vents etc

I was keen on the KLIM Dakar or Traverse as well prior to that as they are awsome quality as well from all accounts ;)
