With the missus and daughter away for the weekend, Connor and I were free agents, so we headed up to KTMBULLs property for the weekend. Tripper got wind of the plan and he decided to come along as well, bringing an old school friend we hadn’t seen in 20 years or more.
For those that haven’t been to Bulls place, there is a MX track , a sprint track, a grass track and tons of great bush trails to spend time on.
After just two laps of the MX track on the XR I had enough and we then did a few loops of the tight little sprint track before deciding to hit the bush trails. Bulls brother in law Scotty decided he would come along and lead the ride for us, which was great as it has been some time since I had ridden at Bulls and he can link up the trails heaps better than me.

WE did a quick 45km ride before we decided it was beer o’clock and headed back to the shed. About 1km short of the shed Tripper got a flat front tyre but continued on to the shed to fix it.
It was on close inspection of the tyre that Tripper suddenly wished that he had got his suspension serviced by TEKNIK as one fork was spewing oil.

Tripper fixing his tyre but pretending nothing was wrong with his forks.

It was decided to light the fire but Scotty was having trouble getting it to light so Tripper offers up a cup of woof wood.

The concern about explosion, prompted Scott to use a long match

Our olds school mate Darren isn’t of the tallest stature and Connor was stoked that he had found a grown man shorter than him.

We were enjoying some fizzy drinks around the fire.

KTMRAT dropped in for a visit too

RAT was saying his engine in his Hilux had a rattle that turning up the radio didn’t seem to fix. WE found a minor problem that could be causing the rattle.

WE carried on for a while around the fire before the Wild Turkey ran out and we hit the sack. I woke up early coughing up Turkey feathers and feeling rather 2nd hand but a feed of bacon and mushrooms had me raring to go again.

Tripper, Connor and myself ready to go for another loop.

Scotty turned up again and he lead us off towards the back blokes of Bull’s place, we stopped at the Waterfall for a look.

Some dick heads had been there and dumped some rubbish and Connor found something that you normally wouldn’t find in the bush.

WE rode some awesome leafy trails although some were a bit dusty, we hit one mother of a hill that Connor just roared up on his Little KX but once we were at the top we were missing Darren, his short stature works against him at times and his YZ125 is a bit tall even after having nearly all the foam removed from the seat.

Chris went down to help him and I stood at the top and took some photos. As usual the photos do the hill no justice.

They pushed and shoved and the YZ just wouldn’t pull Tripper up the hill. I eventually went down to give them a hand and by the time I got the YZ to the top it was boiling its head off. We had a quick rest to let it cool down and were off again.

Bill is blessed with some great trails in his backyard.

WE had a great ride and no one came off or hurt themselves after doing close to 100km’s for the weekend,I was very happy with the way Connor rode his KX on a big boys ride and he held his own well considering some of the trick trails we hit. I might just add that I am absolutely stoked with my suspension, since TECNIK did their magic on it. Thanks again to Bull for the use of his great property and for his hospitality.

Great report Mick looks like everyone had fun ;)

As far as your school mate goes and Conner’s pleasure with him being so small could be because smoking stuns your growth

might get 3 month warranty but it would cost me a small fortune & a weekend 2 do it. as always fun had at the bull pen. I’m not sure how but i’ve fixed the leaky seal, it may have been when i threatened to work on it. trippers first rule of thumb when workin on bike, get out big shifter & swear at the biatch. if that don’t work consult with no-toil & ring mick.

Ah, many happy memories of riding through those trails out to the waterfall. Sometimes the whole family would come along on all sorts of two wheeled machinery, even a little old Honda 50
My dad used to ride a very old Suzuki out there with us, sometimes having to leave it in the bush and get a double back to the farm due to breakdowns or pucntures ;) Then it was always a mission taking the truck out to find the stashed bike.
Are you kidding about Rats Hilux  some pretty seriuos damage would of occurred if he drove that too far
    Cheers

Looks like awesome riding territory there, and good company to share it with.

Thanks for taking the time to post.

    Cheers.
