I had an RDO today and got the things I wanted to get done around here done early, so it was off north on an exploratory ride towards Washpool. :)
I had planned a rough route that had me do a loop from Raymond Terrace up towards Stroud via Glen Martin and back across via some fire trails, but the trail I was after was a “No Through” when I found it eventually,,,

Anyway I got a few random pics when I stopped to check the route here & there, it went something like this…

Rode from home the 50k to hit my first dirt off Newline Rd and East Seaham Rd, hit Limeburners and crossed over to Glen Martin Rd,, this is where I couldn`t find Ebsworth Fire Trail to link East,, So after a quick coin toss it was carry on nort along Black Camp Rd and see where else I could get to.
A couple of pics from near the start of Black Camp

It gets a tad tricky in places as it winds uphill & downhill and crisscrosses through some mudholes & little creek crossings, would also be a handful in the wet with the clay on some of the rocky hills.
Still a nice run up the valley and past some remote propertys.

I passed thru Cambra and hit another dirt rd East towards Washpool, crossed the Karuah River a couple of times before coming out behind Stroud

Then back down Booral-Washpool d to look for some more link roadsds before hitting Bucketts Way and turning off onto Gunns Gully Rd, which was a planned link across to Ebsworth Fire Rd to start with. It too had another sign “NO THROUGH RD” about 6 ks in and looked to head into some property,, SO back out as I didn`t want to waste any fuel if I got turned around further in,,,

I had planned to do Witt Rd & Hobarts Forest Rd as well down to the river at Allworth, but I had gone long on time so headed to Wallaroo SF instead.
Lots of fun picking my way thru there, as there are a maze of fire trails & others darting off here & there. Got a call from TB while in Wallaroo so I had a 5 min rest while chatting to the big fella on the Bluetooth, beats taking the helmet off in a hurry 😆
No pics in Wallaroo, I was busy huffing & puffing up on the pegs

I took a wrong turn that led me almost out to the highway on Tower Trail, so decided to double back and hook up Lone Pine Trail and out to Italia Rd.
Then back home on the blacktop for a late lunch about 2.30 ,,,,

I think I will head back up soon and do Ebsworth Fire Trail again with more fuel in reserve to see if it does link up my original route
All in all an enjoyable solo session of about 230k, some time to take in the fresh air, no one else`s dust and put some miles on my legs back to bike fitness,,,

SO,,, HOW WAS WORK TODAY ???? :P

    Cheers
