Hi guys, I ve been looking for a site like this for ages, looks like just the ticket. I,m 47 live in Maitland and love the adventure bike seen. I have a husky te 610 which I just rode to the OCR in Wanaaring and had a ball. Also a 1200 gs which is my holiday getaway machine with my lovely partner who likes the adventure side of things as well. Have been aroundbikes all my life and ride with a few mates but they dont seem to get the time to ride as much as i do so I am looking forward to hopefully riding with some of you guys….cheer Phil

August 25, 2010 at 10:53 am #186498Welcome to the site phil.
There seems to be more and more adventure riders getting on here. Nice choice with the Husky too. I read some blurb on the new 630 the other day and it looks flash.
Enjoy mate.
August 25, 2010 at 11:34 am #186505thanks guys for the welcome. I would love to make it on Sat and meet you guys. I have not long moved to Maitland and virtually finished house reno’s. Ive been trying to get the cable guy for weeks and finally arranged to meet him here on sat to sort these phone lines..so unless he cancels I am a no go but if he does i’ll be there in a flash… TB… I heard about you guys along time ago from one of your members [dont know his name] at Frasers in Newcastle. He had a wr450 in the back of his ute. More recently on the ADV rider site. It was on a thread with a link to you… cheers phil

I called into track and trail at belmont on Monday and saw it in the flesh. Very nice front end and the backs not bad either… not sure about the twin cans???? but the dohc engine might sort out the so called cam chain problem on the 610, that other people have complained about. mine seems to be ok though…overall i like it mate….cheers
August 25, 2010 at 11:44 am #186512Welcome Filthy,
I know people are thinking it….so I gotta ask….Why Filthyphil?
Is it cause you never wash your bike?
never wash yourself?
Or an old name that stuck with you from your pornstar days?
