LOL, nothing like that new bike buzz wigster, your gonna love it Im sure. Properly sorted suspension is gods gift to bike riders (and S bends :)

Mine has some racetech stuff through it but is probably a bit stiff for my taste, I think Nick has done one or two of these so should be sweet. See if you can keep your nose clean on this one eh ?

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black TB. If I am punching above my weight (which clearly I am) then you are up in the stratosphere. Having said that I haven’t always been bald and 53.

Anyway, back to more important matters.

Picked up my reworked Tenere from TB today and to say I am a happy camper is an understatement.

I have spent most of the afternoon ripping around the trails near home (short loop around Garigal national Park) and then on the twisty blacktop out to West Head and back through Akuna Bay.

Two things became immediately apparent. The suspension is fantastic and well worth getting done. A big thanks to Nick at Teknik for fitting me in at short notice. It is so smooth through stroke and the bike is not trying top spit you off all the time.

Secondly, the Barratt twin pipe enables the bike to pull from much lower down in the rev range. Riding back from Tamworth with the standard pipe the bike was not very happy at 3k and under. It seemed to lug a bit and you had to work the box a lot more. Now it pulls like a train and keeps going. I even noticed that the top end was much better, in that in will pull quite hard from 110k to 130. Not quite like the Tiger obviously, but pretty good for a single. Thanks to Jason also for getting the pipe to Nick. (This is starting to sound like an infomercial).

And did I mention the sound of that thing. Oh my good lord it sounds good!

So all in all well happy with the bike. It had a tall screen on it which I have taken off and reverted to the original and it is actually more comfortable with less buffeting. A centre stand, heated grips and some power outlets and she’ll be finished.

Big thankyou to TB, who co-ordinated the work by Jason and Nick. Looking forward to next week end mate!

Now, as I might have mentioned before. Tiger 800XC for sale. Lightly used, always garaged, never dropped (ahem) blah blah blah……

James, I might have to do some family stuff tomorrow, having spent most of the day playing with the new toy.

But we’ll catch up for a ride soon, hopefully with the very studly Eagle, a man so good looking rumour has it he works as a gigolo in the Newcastle area.

I like mine, though I think a fully catalogued “”Competition White” one might be the go for me down the track.
