Another newbie

Hi there,

I met Katgirl on the weekend and she told me about your forum and after lurking around for the last two days thought I’d better say Hi.

I’m pretty new to riding. Got my bike and my L’s in October and my P’s in March.

I’ve got an XT250 which I’ve been riding on both road and dirt. Love riding both. Have recently bought a BMW F800ST which will be my road bike (when I’m off the dreaded P’s next year – until then I’m stuck of the back of her) so am slowing making the XT more dirt oriented. The knobbie tyres go on next week!!

I live in Wollongong so have ridden mostly down this way – southern highlands and south coast. Started riding dirt mainly on fire trails but am gradually getting more confident and starting to take on some single track.

Am doing the Batemans Bay Apex Rally in a couple of weeks with Katgirl which should be a blast!!

Hi Cathi and welcome to OBT. Thanks for the intro. Have spotted you “lurking” and was hoping you would be brave enough to say hi.
Katgirl is a real trooper and will set you in the right direction as far as getting on a ride or two.
