Hi Everyone,
I’m Andrew From Ipswich. I have had my ’95 xr 600 for about 9 months and its a hell of a lot better bike than I am a rider. I had a ’95 dr350 for about 6 months before that which my 15yo son now rides and for 4 years before that a chinga 150 which my wife now rides. I ride irregularly (both in frequency and style) at private property at Ripley and have managed to sink the xr in a bog hole on a DBW beginners ride at Beerburrum. I fit firmly in the older rider category, grey hair, carrying extra kilos, buggered knees and ankles and a slower injury recovery time.December 12, 2009 at 6:05 am #165016Gday Andrew, Welcome to OBT and thanks for the intro. Another XR rider!! Man they are getting thick on the ground around here,I would chance to say there are more XR600 owners on OBT now than any other bike!!! Maybe except for those blue WR sh*tters. Any issues with the mighty 600, just yell as there are a few of us that know them well and I have a ton of parts in the shed.
Cheers

You will hopefully find a few riding bubbies up that way from on here, other than that, if you are willing to trqvel a bit south you will have untold riding buddies & endless trails to ride on

Big Call on the XR owners Mick
I`m sure someone on here will set out to prove you wrong :woohoo:

The Old family is stretching far and wide now. :woohoo:
The XR is a good old truck. You made Micks weekend.
Make sure you get in and hang some shit on Moto when he turns up.

You’ll get a good laugh here and a heap of good advice.

Welcome mate, is the XR registered? Happy days if it is, the Queensland chapter will be happy to have you on the next ride I am sure.Do any of you pineapple heads know a guy named Tim with an XR600/650 who lives near Glasshouse the township?
I haven’t ridden with him for about 3 years and he is slack to return my calls.December 14, 2009 at 8:21 am #165020andrew01 wrote:

I have a mate who lives at Fernvale and rides in Lockyer State Forest a bit who matches that list well except he has no hair instead of grey  . If you are interested in hooking up for a ride there give us a PM for his info.
Footnote: Lockyer is closed at the moment due to high fire risk (not sure why I was there 2 weeks ago and most is already burnt out). Opening again 23/12/09.

December 14, 2009 at 9:30 am #165021Hi again thanks for the welcomes. I found out about OBT from DBW where it was mentioned that there was a lot of XRs here. The XR is registered and I am keen to check out Lockyer forest as I have heard its great.
