I am looking to get together a gang of adv dudes and/or dudettes  for fun times. I live in Mayfield and am primarily interested in well off the beaten track type riding :silly: . But I am open to more sedate riding as well  . Perhaps start with some shortish day rides or perhaps a full day ride??
Any old bulls [or bullettes ]interested please post or PM me.
llewdaertOctober 25, 2009 at 6:10 am #157890Champo & Racy ride an NX650 occasionally
DanD now has one on loan for a while too :laugh:So it may be a possibility,,,
If ya don`t ask ya don`t get anyway, so Good Luck with it,,,,October 25, 2009 at 9:32 am #157900
Anonymousit’s true. racy and i, amoung many other titles, are adv riders
while i was out riding yesterday, racy tried to to win us a bigger tank for our nx on ebay. she got the seller over $600 for it. it ended up being someone else’s money though
and thanks for not calling it a dominator eagie. what a wanky name
October 25, 2009 at 10:03 am #157891DOMINATOR ??? Who mentioned that name ???
YOU ChampoI reckon NX is way cooler ,,,,,
Has the NX been out much lately, its been a bit quiet!!!

Anonymouswe went out on it last week. had lunch with some friends at wollombi then back through the watos. actually dropped it on some wet clay. it was the only bit of track that i noticed murph back off a bit last week. we carefully rode over a erosion control mound and the bike pointed off the track. i put it down at 0.5kph and we both ended up standing straddling the bike. i’m glad racy is good at dropping bikes. you don’t want a heavy bike lying on your leg.
we were to go riding on it today, but plans changed. mmmm….i’ll post that in another thread

October 29, 2009 at 3:23 am #158498Thanks for the reply-I got heaps of new bits to test on my vstrom- so I am keen keen keen.
ScottOctober 29, 2009 at 4:22 am #158500I am thinking of getting something like an NX myself soon, I almost bought one when I was home last time. There’s a nice looking one for sale on the central coast I might look at if it’s still there when I get back in a few weeks.

AnonymousI might organise a ride early next year seeing that TB has given me the use of the NX for a little while.
Might do a Wisemans Ferry pub run going through the Watto’s and Yango.
October 29, 2009 at 5:11 am #158506I am ready,
it gets a bit hot early next year but if you can do it I can.
The run I have done is through Wattos to Bucketty then through to St Albans. Other good bits I have done are the paynes crossing and the settlers trail , keen to show you, or keen to follow. I often ride with singles and the strom seems to hold its own until big ruts or stone steps bigger than [say] 500mm especially if they are in a row. Also struggle a bit in that greasy mud -the weight works against me.
Cheers
ScottOctober 29, 2009 at 5:28 am #158511Is the settlers trail still open? I haven’t been through there for years and thought it had been locked out, we will use that on next years biggest weekend out charity ride if that’s the case

llewdaerthey llewdaert. racy and i are heading out sat or sun (or both) we tend to make things up as we go. time and location will be determined by conditions, such as rain, wind, surf (or lack of) and what time we went to bed. however we reckon we may drop in at gwando to check out a race(i need to see how it works as i want to race the next round).
so if any advers in newy want to join in, pm me your mobile number and we will put you in the loop.
October 29, 2009 at 11:19 am #158601Cool I am available on Sunday I will do a PM . Yes the last time I did settlers it was cool-I also call that trail “letterboxes’ .The sus one I call Paynes crossing. Their is a dude there that seems unhappy but I still got through. I would enter from the putty road side and then just ride on out at the other end.
Cheers
