Here are a few pics of the Apex Batemans Bay charity ride 2010.
I wasnt a rider in this, just support crew for Cathi ;)
This ride is 2 loops ( 60, 70 km ) of combined fire trail, single track, and state forrest roads. I must say that it was very well organised and run. Cant wait to have a go in next years. We didnt camp at the ride base as hundreds did, but we did go in on Saturday night for the roast beef dinner and to chat to other riders. We stayed at Malua Bay about 10km away.

Just some of the bikes at the start area.

KTM Trail Tours were a major sponsor – they had a training day on Saturday prior to the big ride on Sunday

That fire must have been pumping out the heat, although you probably need it down that way.

Would have been some boys thought they were very funny after putting that bike up there. Glad they weren’t my mates because my mates wouldn’t help get it back down.

How many riders do they get/accept?

Thanks Riggs for posting my ‘pissed’ look. I think I was on my 4th smirnoff by then and not feeling a thing. Least I was wearing the OBT tee shirt.

I was thinking the same thing about the bike Roy then i saw the Bobcat!!Looks like a great ride. I thought our fire at Norh Star was good but that gives me something to aim for. Nice post Riggs!

I love the way every one was in big jackets and “our” Katgirl was still getting around in her official short sleeved OBT shirt. Love your work girl!!

If you have 15mins to waste here is a YouTube created by Leisa who was wearing a helmet camera. Lots of funny falls captured.
