Attaching Alloy Case Guards

Ok,
So I have some nice Alloy Case Guards on the way for the 690 courtesy of Steve at AdvMoto.

Question is, How much Hi Temp silicone do I need to keep them on the cases, but not have to smash the bejeesus out of anything should I need to get hem off ????? :whistle:

I guess two or three decent dobs on each should do it, then I was planning on a small bead around the edges to keep mud & grit out from between the two,,,,, I would also leave a small gap at the bottom of the bead to let any moisture out if it does get in,,,,

Any other suggestions ????????????
