    It’s official! I’m a whatchamacallit… writer? contributor? Sucker? Whatever!

I sent a few pictures and a story of my experience at the Aussie Safari to Tom at TBAM, just hoping to get some photos in the readers pictures section. Got an email back asking what it would cost them to run it as a feature!

So, issue number 30, Page 70, there I am with Dave and my story, almost word-fer-word what I sent in. Seems to read OK, but I wish I had finished the story the way I ended up the ride report – still, not about to lose sleep over that one! (Not going to spend all the money at once either!)

Just a couple of pics that never made it to the ride report or the article:

Ben Grabham, Day 4, Refuel 1

Ben – heading into the second selective, Day 4

Annie Seel, Refuel 1 on Day 6 between Laverton and Kalgoorlie. Love the eyes!

Jake Smith at spectator point 3, Day 7, heading for victory. (This is how you read a road-book and still ride fast!)

Rod Faggoter on the fly, spectator point 3, Day 7.

And here’s one that I just like: Dave on Day 3

    Enjoy folks!

Cheers you blokes, I’ll try not to let it go to my head, ok? :P

I’m trying to work out the hourly rate based on what I was paid… but I don’t think my calculator goes to that many decimal places! $0.0000000000003… :woohoo:

Had a letter published in the Azimuth once Mick, then had the bugger from the Department of Lands call me and chew my ear for half an hour explaining why I was wrong!!

Funny thing, I had 6 other surveyors call me and agree with my comments 100% – but what do we know eh!? B)
