The Australian Safari is on again soon!
Already, the 2008 Safari starts in only 12 days!
Starts on 23rd August in Kalgoolie and finishes in Perth on the 30th August.
This year it appears that Husaberg are going all out to take the title from Honda. They’ve got Thomas Jacobson as No.1 rider. He’s from Condobolin and done the Condo 750, Yellow Mountain etc for years. They’re running x4 entries, x6 service & x2 support crews. Apparently they’re preparing for an all out attack next year for the release of their new FE570, and are committed to winning the Safari & the Condo 750 in 2009!
Honda & GHR are running Ben & Damien Grabham, Tony Lockett & Andrew Coaker – all on CRF450’s.
Yamaha are running the Smith brothers – Todd & Jacob.
Kawasaki are represented by Shane Diener again this on a KLX450 (that’s for you Chris!)
David Schwatz is on a KTM as usual.
A few interesting facts, Well, approximate facts:

    Honda
    11 CRF 450
    3 XR650

    Yamaha
    8 WR450
    1 WR250
    1 YZ450F

    KTM
    1 450
    7 525/530
    8 Adv/Rallye/690

    Husaberg
    4 FE650

    Suzuki
    5 DRZ450

    Kawasaki
    1 KLX450

    3 International riders (A Japanese, Swiss & a Swed)

Hope it’s another rippa of a race. Wonder if Old Bull will enter one year?

Nice work Crash, sorry for the delay but suspension day yesterday

My money will be on Ben & Damien Grabham, Ben first because of last year, Damien will be there and of course Andrew Coaker cant be forgoten.

Both the Smith Boys well time will tell, thats where I think the winners will come from

Remember the ginger ninja on the top there (in the picture)rode the last day and a half with a broken collar bone, and set a fasted stage time during that day and a half
