ive seen a kato 300 2wd in the flesh.

it was pretty horn.
it was a kit though and i think it was Christini

it was all gear and shaft driven.

Seen the Yamaha version at Yellow Mountain race in 2007 or 2008 one of the Smith boys were riding it, I think in prepration for Condo 750 and the Austalian Safari.
Hyd pump driven off the counter shaft with hoses out to a hyd motor on the front hub, can’t remember where it placed in the finish!

I’d like to have a go on one and see how they go on the gas, on the dunes, in the mud , real wet conditions and on big hill climbs. I can imagine if they worked well it would be a real buzz.

As far as cheating I don’t know….maybe just technologhy.

What about wheelstands when putting the front back down. :laugh:

nah not cheatin just using available tech.. did you see the preview bike had front brake caliper hanging in the wind ? wonder if brakes would be linked because of the drive?
