Well for a weekend that was canceled it was still one of the great trips of the year, thanks to TB, Chris, and the mods for all the hard work you guys put in, shame it was canned but with the OBT spirit flowing it would hard to not have a good weekend.

I was on Dejay’s big spear and i hung out with the Long Walkers  top bunch they are, and tough as nails aswell, Kat is way too hard core and was able to ride without her wet weather gear which would have me crying like a little bitch, not Kat though there was a big smile on her face.

I had fun ripping the guts out of Dejay’s bike………….errrrr ummmm i mean i had fun cruiseing around on the DR  👿 :woohoo: Thanks Mate
Thanks to Steve, Eags and Fish for keeping an eye on us all.
Thanks to Steve and Alyssa for thecompany on the way down and the way back ( more on that later )
Its was great to see everyone and meet new members
and a big thanks and congrats to the new king

All Hail King Bol, a worthy and deserving King indeed, you are a legend B)

    coment of the weekend!!!

On the ride i went on “by ourselves of course” I needed to ride with another rider back to camp at about the 20k mark to make sure he got there, apparently he thought he left the lid of the esky ajar and was affraid the beer would freeze :cheer: anyway , when I told a few blokes that I had run into on our trails that I was taking our mate back to camp, one of them said, Hey Boony “do you want to ride the DRZ out ”   I couldnt get the Kato into gear quick enough and it was the best mono i have ever pulled as I got the hell out of there….. Gold Al gold.

Its the little things like this that make for a top weekend.

I was headed out that way today on the Husky when battery issues made me turn and head home before I got over the mountains. I think the battery failure was an omen.

Our trip started on Thursday in sunny Victoria where shorts, thongs and tshirt were worn. I picked Rohan43 up on the way and off we headed.

Made it as far as Wagga before deciding to call it a night. Next day it was off again nice and early. We stopped off at Bathurst to do a couple of laps of the race track.
Arriving at a place called Sunny Corner, I looked at the locals and thought “how soft are these peeps, standing around a fire, rugged right up” Well it took me about 2 minutes to realise me shorts and thongs weren’t going to cut it up here.

Sorry about the pics but me camera kept fogging up. Took plenty of others but there all foggy. Worse than these.

A bloke called PEP tried the level 5 walk in the carpark. This is him just after picking himself up off the ground

After setting up our camp the others who happened to be camping in the same area as us got pissed off. Something about there ride being cancelled. Poor pricks. Anyway Saturday morning I headed off for a ride, meeting up with some other blokes and women. I asked if I could join them as I didn’t know the area.

3 and a half hours later I was back at camp freezing me bollocks off. Unfortunately that was the only riding I did for the weekend as the rain came down.

The excavations trying to keep the tents dry.
