, some of the shops sell pumps that take a cartridge and also can be a hand pump. What where you doing wrong that two cartridges didn’t pump it up? I have used them for years, we used them for the punctures on the biggest weekend end out and had no problem at all from memory boulders front took one and one in Jeffro’s rear. Sometimes depending on the adapter you are using you can lose to much gas if you don’t screw them in fast enough when engaging them
Patches are no good on the trail either at all, just a standard front tube covers all applications

A bit of tyre carnage
Fixing fixing
TRipper discovers his spare tube is in fact a front tube from a big wheel 85, those thistles were giving me the shits.
Tubes in and holding air,all is good.
Michelle has a thing for CRF’s
A pretty little place Fossil showed us.
L-R KRAM140, me having a bunger and Tripper at one of our many rest breaks.
August 13, 2009 at 7:08 am #147855Great to see everyone had a good time. It is a bit sad that my uni commitments will take over for the next 10 weeks or so but will be sure to organise another run sometime after the 6th of November. Maybe an overnighter if some of the Mexicans want to come up and camp.

Back on the striaght and narrow now that I am back at UNI. Let me know if you get anywhere with the Beranghi Rd to Maria River Rd access, it would make a great run. On my maps Ushers Fire Trail is the other access we tried to get through on, it shows a locked gate on the Maria River Rd side though.
August 14, 2009 at 11:26 am #148344Good luck with Uni I’m sure you’ll need a break here and there. I’m on to the Maria crossing and I’ll keep you postedB)
