AnonymousCheap cheap!
November 23, 2009 at 4:00 am #162367Probably because at this stage they are an unknown quantity, no-one wants to take a punt on a second hand one, especially as TB said if they’ve done their research and come up with reccommended servicing prices……..
Maybe

Quote:$6100! What do they normally sell for wikd?About $9500.
I rekon the guy was nuts starting with such a low price, unless he was mega rich and just didn’t care :huh:Also I dont think anyone anywhere has forked out for the recomended servicing and I have not heard of any catastrophic engine failures either.
November 23, 2009 at 8:24 pm #162499Be very careful there is a bike scam on ebay.
I was looking at a Late model WR and it was very cheap and was offerd a very cheap buy it now price. I asked the guy a couple of questions and and all seemed OK but them when I wanted to look at the bike he said had just moved interstate and that was why he needed to sell.
The scam was the seller offers to send the bike free of charge to you.
You pay a deposit and the balance after you are happy with the bike.
The bike never arrives and the deposit is gone. I’ve also head of people paying the entire price up front.
This bike might be legit, but if it’s too good to be true there is usually a very good reason.
Buyers beware.

AnonymousKTM have ridiculous service intervals in their manuals too. I don’t recall exactly what they are off hand but I’m sure they are as ridiculous as the BMW.
According to KTM I should be on 4th engine or something for the 450 yet i haven’t even had to shim the valves.
November 24, 2009 at 7:08 am #1625324th engine eh Moto  Quality post that
Hey Mal 5.1 whats a piston worth for a Husky 300, don’t they have a recommendation of every 1000kms, well actually 850kms I think

I am quite surprised that you have even looked at a Service Manual for any of your Pumpkins
You, of all people are not known for your stringent service regimesMaybe if you had been racing the 450, it might be on its second or third engine by now???
But as you are just another average Weekend Trail Hack  You have gotten away with it  :silly:Looks like the Pont Express Hero Status is OVER :woohoo:
Just joking Stevo,,,,,,,,, couldn`t resist mate
November 24, 2009 at 9:11 am #162614Nah Beags that’s why I said he is my hero for 24hrs as I knew he would soon say something that dropped him to dick status  After returning from my day out with Mal I wasn’t disappointed
