I recently stripped down my bike to give it a full service and I thought it was time to give the Barrett exhaust some lovin. It had not been repacked for a while and I thought I might as well send it back to Barrett Products for a full service. I called the number on the website and spoke to Jason Barrett. That’s right, you speak to the guy that made the pipe. I told him that a bolt was stripped in the insert and that it was pretty well packed out and asked if he could give it an overhaul. He asked me a few questions about my bike and gave me his mailing address. I was in no hurry as I was taking two weeks off riding while I overhauled my bike.
Not long after I get a call from Jason to tell me that the pipe had been fully serviced and that he had already mailed it back. The service he gave me was A+ and I couldn’t give him my credit card details quick enough. The work he did for the price he charged was amazing and two days latter I unpacked my pipe to check it out.
Talk about attention to detail!!! Not only had Jason done the work I asked but he had riveted a new Barretts brand plate on it. :woohoo:You only had to tap on the side of the can to tell how tightly it was packed and he had given me a new set of bolts to deal with my salty air and fresh rivets all around. The spark arrester was also new.
It looks and sound unreal back on the bike and I can wait to give it a good test in Bello this week.
Jason has a passion for his products and even included a new rubber mount to finish the job.
Aussie made, Good Aussie bloke and I can’t recommend his products and service enough. If you are in the market for a new pipe make sure you consider Barrett as an option because from my experience you will not be disappointed.

January 20, 2012 at 10:45 pm #214847STM…how much extra horn power does the pipe give you compared to the stock pipe that comes with it?
Or was it on when you bought it?If so…have you riden one with a stock pipe to compare?

Bol :woohoo:Hey Bol
The big difference is right off the bottom and that’s were you need it with a 250F. We both know once you build the revs they run hard but down low they can bog. Swap your stock can with a Barrett’s and you will notice a difference. Once you wind into the 10000rpm range it is not such a big deal but you have to get there first and this will do it faster. Plus it sounds like Murph’s 500 :woohoo:STM

July 19, 2013 at 5:20 am #215528Not sure if I should be posting here, but the topic is of a similar theme and that is of the help and service that Jason provides
.
Most here would be unaware that at the birthday auction I was lucky enough to purchase the Barretts product, which meant a new slip on single can for the tenere.
I had spoken to Jason earlier in the week and arranged that he would send it out to me once he had the complete kit made up.My eagerness then led me to take the old exhaust of on Tuesday arvo not knowing exactly when the new one would be ready :pinch: and unable to use my bike without going to the trouble of putting it back together.
Needless to say I rang him and told him of my stupidity and he fabricated the missing piece this morning and I have not long ago met him on the side of the road in Nth Richmond and picked it up :woohoo:
All this service and its not even a sale for him as such being as he donated it to the website.
So thankyou Jason for your efforts today I cant wait to fit it up and test it out :woohoo: :woohoo:
Cheers James
July 19, 2013 at 5:43 am #214849You would have to walk a million miles barefoot to find someone to beat Jason`s service and dedication
And even then,,,, you would be unsuccessful :laugh:Great work Jason Barrett and good feedback James.
Looking forward to hearing the new can rumble in a few weeks :woohoo:July 19, 2013 at 9:56 pm #246480Fitted the pipe last night, and then of course had to have a sound check 👿
Sounds awesome :woohoo: so much better than the stock exhaust, beats it hands down in the looks department as well, makes it look more like a dirtbike.
It had the horses at my place running for cover bucking and farting when I fired the bike up in the shed   .
So STM I was wondering if you have the baffle in your exhaust in your vid as my bike sounds much louder although it is always a little harder to tell on video
Jason did hand me one yesterday with the pipe but not sure if it has to go in it or is it optional, like I say it bellows 👿
