I was recommended a motobatt but only had it for a few months so can’t say how good it was. About $80 IIRC.

I’ve always used Yuasa batteries where possible as they have been great. They do do them for dirt bikes too.

http://www.balmainmotorcycles.com.au are the Aussie distributor (so a net search tells me) and they do Australia wide delivery too.

I got a Yuasa clone (unbranded, but apparently from the same factory) for about $60 for the WR. Came with a 12 month warranty, so gave it a crack. No complaints and at the price even if you only get a year and a day out of it, its cheap enough.

Rocket check out the range of gel batteries for your bike they are more expensive but will put up with more abuse, cant leak upside down and have good cca ratings. Just a thought if you are keeping it for a while ;)

If you want to get whatever battery Sutto’s has down there or they recommend I will get it freighted for you again or bring it to the 4 day mate :)

the last Batt. i put in my 640 was a SLA= sealed lead acid , Dia Mec, has Dm12 v- 7.2 Ah. 20hp
written on it, i don’t know what the 20hp means. but it’s 12 volt 7.2 amp hour.

$35 from the local Jaycar stockist, i just measured up the old Batt. and got the closest one in size, only ended up a few mm smaller over all.

has not missed a beat in last 6 months or so. has not needed to be charged via an external charger and the bike has sat for up to 3-4 weeks at a time without being started.

Yeah that rings a bell. No complaints here, it could die tomorrow and I would be happy with 14 months of good service from it. Not bad for $60.
