I heard of 2 sales on the day ( 300 2t and 2013 350rr) and 1 guys talking about buying a 350. Our mate Greg is seriously considering the 498 and his sons set on the 350 or 400.
Rob400 is very keen too !!
I will be looking at upgrading the 250 within 12 months as it’s an 08 and will be due , having Cross Roads Motorcycles 40 minutes away would mean a Beta for me too. Lee stands by his product 100% and Claudia ( Lees wife and business partner ) told me they were very impressed with the importers back up service and parts availability.
I’d go the 400rr ( or 300 2t :woohoo: )

November 3, 2013 at 9:57 am #251346I stopped in to cross roads when I was down and met his wife (already met lee) and was very impressed with the service. The young bloke who does the ordering of parts was handy also. I hope they get a demo 300 in the shop as I would like to see the difference between the two bikes.
November 3, 2013 at 10:08 am #251347The whole crew at Cross roads are cluey , Clint who works in the workshop with Lee is an ex motocross racer and awesome mechanic too. I like the fact that everyone their rides dirt bikes , towards end of the test day Claudia geared up and rode a few laps , as did Lee ( he wouldn’t come back
) , Michael the sales guy cut a lap , Clint rode after taping himself head to toe ( mx pays you back after a few years
) Even Lees young bloke got on his TTR 50 and cut some laps with the big kids !!!
Great family business !!
November 4, 2013 at 3:55 am #251295I know it has already been said, but what a well run ride day. Thanks heaps Lee , Claudia and the team from Crossroads.
Also thanks to Nickj , Spud and STM for some awesome company on the day.
As for the bikes themselves well :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :silly:   could not believe how well they handled straight off the floor.
The seat and tank design felt really good when clamped between your knees. And as Nick stated you felt like you were sitting in the bike not on it.
Spud has rated them spot on my ratings would be the same, still cant get the smile of my face from the 300 2 banger :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: it was bloody awesome.
In saying that, the one i would buy to suit the riding i do will be the 400. For the single track riding I do up here on the far north coast I feel this is the bike that at the end of the day would be a pleasure to be on.
A great power delivery over the full rev range, and the bottom end was not to aggressive to hopefully get up some of the steep hills and rocky steeps. All i can say is i can’t wait to see one sitting in my garage :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Stay off it Spud , your the quickest bloke I know already and even Lee wasn’t able to get past you when you rode the 300 2t ( his words !! )
Your next bike should be TTR 110 mate !! ( still get up JC though I bet !!! )

They look good nick, if the price isn’t right for plan A they’ll be a strong plan B.
November 5, 2013 at 11:05 am #251408It really is refreshing to read such positive reviews from a brand so few have known or seen before. A euro brand that can back up the looks with real performance and value. Not like (apologies) Ass Gass and the other brand I won’t mention. Oh wait, that one too. And that one. KTM and berg excluded of course.

November 6, 2013 at 12:12 am #251430Good clip Scott, I like the car stuff as well. When I did the car stuff a while ago on the Hattah trip it gave a whole new angle and was fun
Again great clip and edit
