This thing is 16kg lighter than my WR 450……
Straight out of the box i felt right at home on this bike….
The power delivery was awesome….as was the handling…
Straight away i could feel a huge weight difference when i was riding this bike…
It was very enjoyable to ride…..Hmmmmm……..
…spud…
I’m hearing you spud, in my opinion the wr is still bloody hard to beat but I had my eye on a 498 since they were first announced
and 16kilos is a lot of weight, you get yours Spud and I can try it

I reckon your metal art could get you one within the year mate , people love the stuff and you make some of the best
November 7, 2013 at 10:24 am #251517Its great to see more bike brands getting around, i like going on a ride and seeing a variety of bikes and Beta is one i would like to see more of on trail rides.
I reckon Nick would look good on a 300 2T
Great edit STM, love your work.

November 7, 2013 at 10:33 am #251521For the first time Nick makes sense Spud (yeah shocked me as well  ) . Your metal gear is wicked and would sell easy if marketed right, you would pay for one no problem mate while doing something you love. That truck I sold straight away for you remember and there is 5 to 7 months payments on a Beta 498 on its own. (I will organise the sale of that other one, he wants it)
