700 old blokes thats huge, was wondering how long is it until your removed from being a member due to no log ins etc.

They don’t get deleted and there is currently no requirement to log in to save your account.

Hope to see you at the next one then Bluecee :) Enjoy your time with your family.

Even if I did say I understood it,someone would accuse me of not knowing,so I was just saving them the trouble.

The server just hosts the information, kind of like a big hard drive. The software for the site is what gives you the control through the user interface. The user interface is pre-defined with the code already written so that us ‘admin’ just have check boxes to click and navigate through it a bit like Microsoft Windows. It also a user interface that you use to type your posts into.

If you’re clever like Chris you can write additional pieces of code to integrate in the software that will allow you to do pretty much anything you want. To do that you have understand a programming language like Visual Basic or C++ and be experienced enough to know where the code needs to be placed in the software structure.

The files for the site are made available to webservers provided by our ISP that allow the site to be deipalyed and viewed form the internet. The ISP typically does the hosting for this. The Old Bull web address or ‘domain’ is then pointed at the ISP’s servers and allocated ‘meta tags’ so that when you type Old Bull into a search engine like Google it will search our site for matches with the meta tags.

Very simply put of course but you get the idea….

    The Different Fields of Science

This is just a sample listing of some of the many, many different possible fields of study within science. Many of the fields listed here overlap to some degree with one or more other areas.

    Natural Sciences
    Biology
    Anatomy
    Astrobiology
    Biochemistry
    Bioinformatics
    Biophysics
    Botany
    Cell biology
    Developmental biology
    Ecology
    Entomology
    Epidemiology
    Evolution (Evolutionary biology)
    Freshwater Biology
    Genetics
    Immunology
    Marine biology
    Microbiology
    Molecular Biology
    Morphology
    Neuroscience
    Physical anthropology
    Physiology
    Population dynamics
    Structural biology
    Taxonomy
    Toxicology
    Virology
    Zoology

    Chemistry
    Analytical chemistry
    Biochemistry
    Computational chemistry
    Electrochemistry
    Inorganic chemistry
    Materials science
    Organic chemistry
    Polymer chemistry
    Physical chemistry
    Quantum chemistry
    Spectroscopy
    Stereochemistry
    Thermochemistry
    Physics
    Acoustics
    Astrodynamics
    Astronomy
    Astrophysics
    Biophysics
    Classical mechanics
    Computational physics
    Condensed matter physics
    Cryogenics
    Dynamics
    Fluid dynamics
    High Energy Physics
    Materials physics
    Mechanics
    Nuclear physics
    Optics
    Particle physics
    Plasma physics
    Polymer physics
    Quantum mechanics
    Solid State physics
    Thermodynamics

    Earth Science
    Environmental Science
    Geodesy
    Geography
    Geology
    Hydrology
    Meteorology
    Oceanography
    Paleontology
    Seismology

Now as building rockets is using applied scientific knowledge already gained from the field of Science, one must deduce that it would be a “Rocket Engineer”, whom uses this knowledge to build the rockets for the use of Scientists, therefore from what I gather, with a bit of a turn in his Studies Moto could well be our resident “rocket Engineer”.
