Hi BR We are registered and prefer grade4/5 well be keen for at least 100ks on the friday
EvMarch 21, 2011 at 10:48 pm #198575Hi Roy, is there still room on this ride? If so i’ll be keen to come. My RDO is that friday so i’m up for a ride as early on friday as suits the others.
March 21, 2011 at 10:56 pm #198603Nathan,
Plenty or spots left mate. See you then. I will post up a time for the Friday ride as soon as we here from the other Tamworthians. You going to bring the trials bike.
March 21, 2011 at 11:21 pm #198605Yeah, i spose i could throw it in for a laugh. It only gets out a couple of times a year now, so i’m probably more capable on the berg, haha. Is there much trials stuff to ride on? (i know there’s plenty there but does blue mind people venturing of tracks?)
March 22, 2011 at 9:00 am #198607The whole place is there to ride. It won’t worry Blue if you make your own track. Every new track is a new challenge, especially if it was made by a trials bike.
March 27, 2011 at 11:04 pm #198618hi BR my +2 have pulled out so it will be just me.
March 28, 2011 at 9:36 am #198853No Worries Ev. The boys sending you over as the forward scout hey. Not game to cross over the great divide until one of their mates has returned safely from the nether regions (well not counting aaron from Tamworth anyway). You still planning on getting here around 11am on the Friday.

March 28, 2011 at 5:27 pm #198867Id like to get there earlier but the road between bellingen and dorrigo is shut evernight till 5am.Iwas considering leaving thursday arvo,I could probably arrive around 8/9 or swag it on the side of the road. When are you getting there? What will he charge me to stay thursday night?Would I find the place in the dark?I was planing on going through bingara is this route ok?do you know if its a dirt road?
cheers EvMarch 28, 2011 at 5:43 pm #198897Ev,
This is the route I would take
I don’t think there would be any hassles/charges staying Thursday night but I will check. I can arrive first thing Friday. The only hassle with coming up Thursday night is the roos/deer are really bad from Bundarra on. There is a short section of dirt just past Bundarra as well. Memory’s not the best but say 10km. Travel at night and it’s not a matter of if you see a roo but how many you don’t see until too late. I have been through there at night and didn’t hit any but was very nervous so just a warning.
What time at night do they close it for the trip home.
March 28, 2011 at 5:49 pm #198899They shut it at 10 so Ill be home by then .Ill probably leave around 12ish
April 4, 2011 at 8:34 pm #198901Hi ive decided to leave thurs night ill get to BT around 8/9 .Roy can you send me your number 0413 258 184
evApril 4, 2011 at 10:05 pm #199127Ev,
Just checking with Scott that all’s right for Thursday night and I will give you a call. Not expecting any hassles though.
April 4, 2011 at 10:09 pm #199130the plan
Friday. Only a few of us. Start 9.30am. Does this suit you Nathan?
Saturday. Around 10 riders so still a mobile group. Start 8.30am
A few points
1) No mobile service so prepare the missus for no phone calls.
2) Ensure you bring enough fuel and spares for the bike.
3) ensure the car has enough fuel to get back to bingara or barraba when leaving these towns. 80km return trip.
4) bring enough food and beverages for the weekend. There are beds for all but will need swag or linen/pillow/blankets
5) bring a jumper. It will be cold at night.
there is a “Castletop” and Bike Territory sign with two white wagon wheels at the front gate on the Narrabri-Bingara road. About 60km from Bingara and 85km from Barraba. Turn left at the sign. Once over the grid then take the road that veers right and head up to the woolshed and quarters. This is our base camp and meeting place.
Let us know what time you plan on arriving.
