Cabramatta is not as bad as what it use to be since the police have stopped alot of the herion dealers from selling in the street. When things go missing it’s usually drug related if there are junkies in your hood then you need to get rid of them you need to tell the cops if they look sus.If they getting bikes for order then they sound like its more organised. What else can you do other than lock up and load!

Its a terrible subject that makes your skin crawl and your blood boil and I hate to revive it. BUT. late yesterday my neighbour called out to me over the fence and told me he’d just gotten off the phone with his wife who had called to tell me that she has heard of more than a few rumbles where she lives that a red dirt bike in my street was going to get pinched. She lives on the other side of town and deals with certain members of the community who are either involved in this low life activity or know of those who are. (I’m unsure if it was kids or more entrepreneurial type she was talking about)

I immediately double checked all the chains and locks and put a cover over the bike then jumped on the phone and up graded my insurance to include theft. Its not like my bike is worth much being nearly 10 years old now but its mine and id like it to remain that way until i decide to sell it or it gives up the ghost for good!

As a side note i heard of a trailer loaded with bikes in a secure alarmed shed getting knocked off in town and the insurance getting voided because the “bikes weren’t secured by a chain or cable though the frame and at least one wheel to an anchor point fixed in concrete”. So next item on the list as a ground anchor and an alarming Disc lock.

Please take note to all OBTs and their mates (especially in the Kemp/Port/Namb area).

Always insure your bikes guys (although read the fine print it seems) . In a past life I used to counsel jr offenders. Yes they would get specific ‘orders’ to fill and No they don’t care if you’re home or not. The older crooks get the young ones to do the crime bc they know if you’re under 16-18 you’ll get out of it very lightly.

By the way I’ve been leaving my chinese crappa in the open carport with the carport lights on AND the keys in the ignition but its still there!!!.

Not even the crooks want that

    Hey Bulls,
I dont live in that area but thanks for the heads up anyway!!

You gotta hate these scum bags huh
Would love to catch some in the act
If people didn’t buy the stolen bikes then the scumbags wouldn’t steal them but good luck stopping that!!

I guess thing we could all do is if you are offered a cheap bike then report it to the local boys in blue, it might stop someones pride and joy being nicked somewhere down the line.

I have had a dirt bike stolen, it sux. The majority of these bikes just disappear never to be seen again. I have never been offered a stolen dirt bike. If you get your bike back consider yourself extremely lucky.

Seriously though, I have bike insurance, shed is VERY secure, got disc alarm, big MF of a lock … and yet I’m still going to invest in an alarm for the shed now too after reading this thread. Shudder at the thought of some asshole stealing my bike!!

Go to Pet Rescue and invest on one of these and you will never worry again.

    I’m all paranoid now

Going to get a seperate alarm installed in the garage next week, and make some more ground anchors so each bike has it’s own.

Yeah, this subject seems to raise its ugly head all to regular. I am forever getting messages on Facebook regarding stolen bikes, the latest was yesterday with a CRF450 going missing in Forster.
