He is a nutcase on that KTM Dakar bike Cowboy.
Looks like he will hit Steep Point easily tomorrow and be on the way back before the afternoon. Less than 4 days to traverse from Byron Bay to Steep Point.

Well on the way to an 8 Day (or dare I say less) crossing on the country BOTH WAYS!!!

    GO SCOTT GO ;)

There was talk he may make steep point tonight Eags. He is on the gas, and the KTM is still running which is amazing  . It is a special build 690 and ex Dakar bike. He has all the gear. I say go you good thing :woohoo:

Taken from Adventure Rider Mag Forum

“From the write up on him in the latest ADV Rider Mag he has fuel/food and wheelsets with tyres fitted buried at certain points as well as Alice.
As well as SPOT tracker he has state of the art EPIRB type equipment that activates on separation from the bike if he doesn’t cancel it.
He has an “Airbag” jacket that also deploys on bike separation with full neck/spine protection.
Upfront he has a hardwired Military style tablet for full screen mapping and navigation.
Its Rob Pollard’s Dakar prepped bike and has 37 litres of fuel with 550km range.
An upgraded stator lets him run two Hella 90mm Bi-Xenon dual lights with additional Baja designed LEDs for floodlighting Roos.”

Yeah, He`s going at it full throttle , literally
Helps having fuel and full wheelsets buried along the way too I suppose,,,
Still an unbelievable achievement even if he didn`t finish for some unknown, unfortunate reason

Can`t fathom being able to tell the missus I`m going for a ride from Byron to the furthest western point in WA, and by the way,,, I`ll be back by next weekend

    What a Legend !!!

He (Scott Britnell) is linked to NickJ`s mate Lee Palmer at Crossroads MC at Grafton.
Lee helped with some prep and organized sponsors and support etc, so it`s been a good buildup to the task ;)

Looks like he`s heading south to get the bike serviced maybe, or has called off the return leg
No firm info just yet, but I`m sure it will come soon.

I really hope he does the return leg and smashes it both ways :woohoo:
