UPDATE…….. I have been to the orthopedic dude this arvo and got the all clear for breaks, “beauty” I thought for a short moment…..However, it appears that I have ruptured a thing called the posterier tibialis tendon.
The one of the tendons responsible for making your foot go up and down and around and around. It is also from what I can work out one of the important ones when it comes to kick starting XR600’s.
He said he couldn’t trust me to keep it still, so as punishment he put me in a full plaster cast, for at least another 2 weeks…….Bugger.:(

Whoo hoo!!! Just got back from having the MRI scan thingy. The cast is off, what a relief!!
What’s more I can put weight on my foot and walk, although it feels a bit weird there is bugger all pain. Can’t see me running or kick starting the XR for a while yet. My foot and leg are still all covered in bruises, which concerns me a bit as I thought that would have gone by now.
I will know more tomorrow when I get the scan results.

No one said or implied you are full of it :( , I just remembered your excited phone call mate saying it wasnt broken, the same call turned into anger because you missed the christmas party
Now its cleared up, you failed to mention that the injury you received is worse than a break because it still gives you curry daily and it hurts to stand / walk for long periods.
I know my shoulder would have been better if I broke it probably
Its an on going injury risk based sport for sure

No not a pissing contest at all Scotty. I was just clearing up a misconception that TB had.
Yeah and you are right,it’s minor, compared to what Aiden is experiencing.

Well done TB, you’re a gentleman and a top bloke to go with it! No wonder OBT rides are so damn good! B)

Good luck Aiden with the healing process. Be sure to slip TB an invoice for the bike hire – we all know he’s loaded!

Aidan can’t help you with the photos, but have to ask you how heavy is that BMW?, cause I suspect you riding a bike in the dirt that is heavier than any of my roadies ever were, but she sure is a BBW of a cycle that’s for sure.
And if it is that heavy you may indeed be a lucky lad to have got away with a broken leg, imagine if it rolled on you ;)
