Nice work Eagle. When it comes to replacing the grips you can also just cut them off. That’s what I do :)

I have a fairly high hand and wrist strentgth and tend to manhandle the bike a fair bike these days so i tend to loosen my grips all the time… have tried hairspray, quik grip, petrol, Petrol & tape, Paint, Contact adhesive, only thing that seems to go any sort of distance (ie; more then a few hours) is good contact glue (or epoxy) and tie wire.
All of the above methods work on my mates, but even if i ride their bikes I lossen the offside in a few minutes.
Before anyone has a shot about excessive grip technique and to loosen m grip it has worked for me for near 40 years and arm pump has only ever been a factor a couple of times after a few hours (5) of extreme S/T.

Bruce I have a picture of you in my head looking like Frankenstein now. 7 foot tall, 200Kg’s (no bolts in neck though) and a grip like a hydraulic press

Nah Moto that was my Grandad, he was a big big bloke.
Me i’m the smallest in my mob only 5’10” 220 lbs even my lil sis is 5’11’ and 220 even my daughter is 11 yr old 5’6″ and 72kg … but see i worked in the timber industry sawmilling/treefelling/logging most of my days from 15 yr old so you sorta get fairly good muscle developement in that upper body in that game, most of the younger blokes could pick up a railway sleeper or two. 😆 but I am just a fat old fella now

For grips try wrapping the ends of the bar in insulation tape then swishing some petrol around inside the grip. This will melt the grip slightly as it goes on and it will set hard as buggery. The tape allows you to get the grips off again afterwards with no problem. No tie wire required either. Simple, fast and very effective.:)

What about the throttle side ?

Yep, both sides. Use it every time, works perfectly! Just don’t forget the insulation tape underneath or it becomes problematic to remove the grips when they are done. Try it next time, you won’t do it any other way again!

I will try this ….Thanks …I will let you know:laugh:
