    The late 1940s, 150.313mph.

He would have went naked for even less wind resistance but he was afraid he would get his tackle caught in the spokes. Rollie_Free01.jpg

Have you seen the movie “The Worlds Fastest Indian”?
When he busted the record the bike was over 40 years old!
They all laughed at him until they saw him ride it.
    He was a mechanical genius.
The bike is owned by some people who live near Bonneville and it has never been pulled apart since so no-one knows how he made it go so fast.

Get the movie, it’s a good one.

I always thought the worlds fastest indian woulda been the one being chased by the calvalry, or the the one that just had Jihad called down on him.

this is not Burt Monroe, this is Rollie Free and i believe it is the late 1940s

ps there are a few books about Burt Monroe which are way better than the movie and more accurate.
