Why would you be considering the WR250 over a GREEN450?
December 2, 2009 at 10:29 am #163452Would love a green 450, but the WR is a sweet ride too, I have ridden KylieD`s at Louee & it would probably suit my riding beter, travelling to work etc
I also rode SuperUnits KLX at Louee, along with Dans WR450, then GavB`s Kato450 in the Wattos :laugh:Best test riding you can do, borrowing friends rides without the dealer pressure
I would have to have a white one though, I don`t like BLUE

I reckon since Eagle rode both of the D Yammie’s he has been lusting to go blue.

I’m not anti yammie just don’t like them LOL
I think they make there WRF range to close to there YZ range and there not a great bike for a weekend knock around.

AnonymousI have to say that’s Dan’s 450 was quite nice to ride. It didn’t seem YZ like in the slightest. It felt like my 450 and the other 450’s I’ve ridden, all slightly different in their own way but much of muchness really.
The most different 450 I’ve ridden would be Green 450’s bike. The engine was strong but the ergo’s felt more trail orientated than the others. I haven’t ridden a Beemer yet though….
December 2, 2009 at 11:27 pm #163719How does the YZ450 feel in comparison to the WR450 Moto or the YZ feel I guess I am asking, I haven’t ridden a YZ450 but am impressed by the WR once I set his suspension up

AnonymousI have never ridden a YZ450 either to make a comparison between the WR and YZ.
I have ridden Moto’s 450 and found it a bit different to mine, but I would say that all of the differences came down to rider/bike set up. I didn’t mind the power delivery of Moto’s bike it did feel a little bit more mellow than my bike, which would give more tractorbility in the tight stuff. I rode Units KLX450 at Louee and found it very much like a TTR or similar type of trail bike as far as overall set up / ergo’s went. The power was no where near as rapid as the WR or KTM but plenty of tractor ability.
