I knew i could stir people up with a few comments
But your dead right Dan with the KLX’s tractor (go any where) feel thats why i bought it. I had a Banana 400 before this and thats what i liked about it so i didn’t want something that had snappy power just some thing that was a easy bike and is quite forgiving to ride

I think they make there WRF range to close to there YZ range and there not a great bike for a weekend knock around.[/quote]well…..my wrf IS “a great bike for a week end knock around”.
Goes slow…and fast
all depends who is on it…my cousin rode it the other day and he hasn’t riden for 16 yrs and he handled it well,4 hr forrest ride and he only came of it once in a muddy puddle…and he is no great rider.
December 3, 2009 at 12:19 am #163737I’m sure I’m the millionth person to say “where’s the 450r!” I reckon it’d sell a lot of bike being a competitor to the DRZ for low maintenance dirt and small road trips.

AnonymousYeah thats a fair call Corey. I wasn’t trying to put the cat amongst the pigeons with my comments it is just how I have found it.
Both the KLX450 and the DRZ400 are great bikes for trail riding and to be fair both of those bikes would suit the majority of Old Bulls.
I am not in anyway talking my shit up with my riding ability and needing to have a more race orientated bike as I would say that I am just an average rider.
I just like Yammies and have never had anything but or would have anything but, so my choice when going up from a 250 to 450 was pretty limited. In saying that I love my WR and wouldn’t trade it for any other bike, except for a newer WR450. Or maybe a Burg at least there still blue

If only they could make them a bit lighter than the current 250R. The 250R’s are somewhat fatties compared to the F’s.

Quote:How does the YZ450 feel in comparison to the WR450 Moto or the YZ feel I guess I am asking, I haven’t ridden a YZ450 but am impressed by the WR once I set his suspension upTB
To clarify I haven’t ridden a YZ450, or any other MX’er come to think of it. What I meant was that considering they are supposed to be so aggressive with different gearbox’s, flywheel’s, cams, ignition, jetting, gearing and just about everything else in an engine/drivetrain that will alter it’s characteristics the WR450 seemed like every other enduro 450 I’ve ridden so I made the logical assumption that it’s not like a YZ450 but like many other enduro bikes that I have ridden.
December 3, 2009 at 2:39 am #163760Been quite a thread i started here with the different convos going on and how we can all talk shit.
But not one of you seemed keen if i organised a Taylors Arm ride out of the pub with no beer. Just trying to see if any one was keen before i made contact with the guy that i want to lead the ride. 16th/17th january
