I will be in the market for a new bike shortly.
my brief dabble with husaberg has scared me off them
I love my WR and was hoping the blue racers would get a new model for 2012 but it seems not
i am leaning towards the
Oh hell its hard to type

August 15, 2011 at 9:02 pm #207122I agree on the availability of the brand in your local town. I was interested in a euro bike earlier this year, but the nearest dealer is 250km away. That really only leaves the Japs and pumpkins as my choices.
The quickest bike on our local MX track is a 250 2 stroke. But really I think the rider would be fast on any bike. Its the rider after all who makes them go fast.August 15, 2011 at 9:03 pm #207142I rode krams 310 husky and loved it they are light and plenty of power the suspension has been done by technics and it handles great, I myself have a drz 400 and they are a great all rounder but like many have said here ride different bikes and be happy with what you buy..Bigger Al;)

Here it iagin in case you missed the first one
August 15, 2011 at 9:33 pm #207156I have just swapped my 450 for a 250 & am loving it. For where I do most of my riding the 250 handles it all. I haven’t missed the extra grunt of the 450 at all. its actually made riding lot more enjoyable.
August 15, 2011 at 10:54 pm #207088Good advice is to ride as many as you can mate, then make your own choice driven by what you want to do with the bike & what you can afford
Good Luck
August 15, 2011 at 11:30 pm #207164You might just have to see if Damus will lend you the TTR again for Mexico so you don’t have to rush your choice.
August 16, 2011 at 12:20 am #207089Thank you all very much you did help me decide that the color is not so important. (And that is why mine will come in Black plastics!!! )Also the service you get from your local bike shop really made up my mind. When they do things like help Bollocks with Heidi at the drop of a hat etc etc. And look our local bike shop owner is out cruising the forests with us plebs!!! So it is for this reason I will be riding a brand new 2011 CRF250x on the Mexico ride next week!!!! Yeeehaa Cant wait!!! I used to ride a Yamaha but now I think they are crap  :silly: I don’t know why you guys were being so diplomatic!!!! Since when did people listen to me anyway. As you can see Boony does not!! Now I just need to sell my Holden car to buy a ford and the transformation will be complete. Jeffro you have also made me decide that Damus should have the first ride.
