How fickle am I. First I said I wanted to stay loyal to my brand….. Fail! then I said I was not going to modify the engine / Exhaust…… Fail! Just got them to put a slip on on it and re jet the thing. Now I am looking for an 300 kit. 😆

Probably just make it unreliable… Very excited to have a ride.
August 17, 2011 at 10:00 pm #207284I wouldn’t get to carried away with the bore mate. You have the pipe so just make sure the air box is open enough and make her scream.
EnjoySTM
August 17, 2011 at 11:17 pm #207285i had a go on a 2009 crf 250 when they first come out, it flew i nearly bought one myself before the i got the ktm . You wont know yourself with the updated suspension compared to your old bike
August 17, 2011 at 11:34 pm #207092You can swap out the standard cam for the Rcam out of the mx bike,a mate did hes 06 a couple of years ago and it went well, love the suspension on the crf too.
August 18, 2011 at 1:25 am #207093The mx. Cams would probably be the go two banger
. I had the. 426 set to y z spec and it was lively in the tight stuff and I changed it as it was not as good as a trail bike. But on a 250 it might be just what the doctor ordered. The air box will be as open as sustainably possible Mr the king.
this will be my first electric legged trailbike so I think I can smell a recluse coming on.
.
August 18, 2011 at 1:41 am #207094electric leg……..
one day, always enjoyed riding the crf,he’s bro in law broke down one day and i got a flat, and fortunately he didn’t have a clue where we were so i got an extended test ride to get the ute to pick them up.
It took ages to find my way back to the car  must have got lost…….

Sounds like the perfect setup mate. The Rekluse is definitely a good way to go on a 250F.

(And that is why mine will come in Black plastics!!! )Also the service you get from your local bike shop really made up my mind. When they do things like help Bollocks with Heidi at the drop of a hat etc etc. And look our local bike shop owner is out cruising the forests with us plebs!!! So it is for this reason I will be riding a brand new 2011 CRF250x on the Mexico ride next week!!!! Yeeehaa Cant wait!!! I used to ride a Yamaha but now I think they are crap  :silly: I don’t know why you guys were being so diplomatic!!!! Since when did people listen to me anyway. As you can see Boony does not!! Now I just need to sell my Holden car to buy a ford and the transformation will be complete. Jeffro you have also made me decide that Damus should have the first ride.Ok as of today we will call thee,,,,TB junior. it has a ring to it… :pinch:

August 19, 2011 at 2:51 am #207095Dear Mr Wild
Full pipe not slip on bro. We’ve gone with three different jets for you to take away on the trip (drop the others back after check out) 132 is standard, 135 and 138 to take away.
Will slip in the 135 to start and the box will get the dremel treatment monday arvo. We will up it to the 138 then but give you the tool to take away to change on the go.
The new pipe has a power bomb “full system” so should keep the 450 pining at bay till we we get you checked out after the high country ride.
High comp piston is here in the shop of you need to, as a taste test, but ill be happy to jam the 280 into my 250x before you get back and let you know?
We can swap the cams for a looksey, be a good question to ask anyway.Got extra levers and a gear lever to take away drop em back in if you dont bust em. You break it you bought it as they say. Got a filter and oil packed ready to go for the first 10 hr.
Let me know what else you want to take away I know your tight for time, its all good.
The crew around the “bits” have been burning Yamy dolls and praising the new sponsored ripper “Mr Wild”. (Frrrkn funny)
The missus shouted Mrs Wild and the Wild kids spaghetti boll last night to celebrate the turning of the colours. Ange says hi…and Fiji sounds like a nice spot to make up for a new bike purchase. (Not joking apparently) Bon voyage on that.Pipe monday, cyrca guards monday, bash plate rad guards and jets tuesday/or wed morning, black plastic arrive Tue (jealous, ordered 2 sets) , Wed pick up lifes good
PS
Damus is doing all the work on her, so first rides a given for the master sweep, I told him you called his TTR a piece of S#$@T too   so dont get too mushycheck ya
August 19, 2011 at 4:11 am #207096Man its like having my own team.
. Now I am getting excited. How cool does team red look now. I cannot wait to try the little red beast on some twisty pine single. I think the “how’s the serenity “. Could have gone out the window. It has been replaced by a red mist.
. I think the quote from me about the ttr was ” tthe most fun I have had on a motorcycle”. Watching boon fire up when I would pass him in the tighter sections was priceless. Being hosed off by the drz on the straits was frustrating but short lived
funny now that I am here the grass is greener on the other side best decision ever. Thanks for helping me make it.
