So, I’m finally at the point where I’ve realised that both front and rear brakes are spongey as feck!

Changing fluid and bleeding has done no good and I suspect that after seven years and a few good crashes, that the seals are on their way out…

First question, can someone steer me in the direction of seal kits for master and slave cylinders on the web? (Goggle is not my friend today!)

Second question, is a seal kit replacement beyond the capacity of Joe Average? I’ve done wheel kits in cars before but never a master.

If it’s possible, I’ll do it at work (at lunch! of course) and do some pics as well……..

The cylinders may need a clean up hone Shane if you kit them and check for pitting, I dont think it will be the cylinders or brake piston seals to tell the truth, are any leaking?

You know how to contact me am always happy to make a house call

Nup no leaks, I have had the cylinders apart for a clean previously and they’re okay.

I’ll give bleeding another go today before I start hunting down parts and a tutorial on how master cylinders are done:blush:

When I get stuck I’ll stock the fridge.:S

Actually now that you mention it…

I did have a little getoff the last time I went out:blush: unusual for me since I rarely come off and it was upside down AND the brake lever was probably applied when it landed (smashed into the ground)
