I’m after a supplier of Brembo brake parts, particularly a master cylinder seal kit.

Internets are not being very helpful at the moment (at least as helpful as trying to get that bloody piston back into the m/c, THE most frustrating experience of my year!!) I want to have a squiz and see a)if they’re available and b0 wht price they are o.s., before I pop down and upset the poor parts guy at Suttos when he asks, “What sort of bike is it off?”

    Erm…

Can someone please point me in the right direction re. weblinks?

Also the piston does not want to go back in. Has anyone rebuilt one of these puppies? What’s the trick? (By the time I’m finished with this one I’ll need new seals, having had a tantrum and thrown the old ones out onto the street!)

Shane I have a master cylinder of a CRF450 that could be fitted and work fine, is new and would do you a price and fit and bleed it for you I reckon

Sounds like a plan old man!

What brand is the honda one? How does the light switch fit up?

I’m really keen to rebuild the original one since the bore looks good still, just need to hunt down parts. Time’s not an issue at the moment because I’ve decided to check the valve clearances, poor old bugger doesn’t want to start on the electric leg which tells me they may need doing, it never ends…

Haven’t got to that yet. It looked like it’s at the oil filter cover, probably the flimsy ‘o’ ring again. Or the mechanic didn’t tighten it properly!

Either way I’ll have to degrease it and have a peek…

Shane if you don’t want the CRF450 M/C, TB would you mind PMing me with a price, cause that is part of the fix for my spongy rubbish front end stoppers. the whole setup is the total go, but the M/C off the honda is a known fix.

Shane can’t help you with a cheap supplier, but Ducati’s and KTMs’ both use brembos, and there’s a seller on ebay I’ve used to get bits for them before.
