    Now your talking!

I just got so excited looking at those bad boys I think I might have let out a little white wee:blush:

A wave rotor and it would have been a complete mess at my work station!

love the rims. think you would need tinted lenses though.i have shredded a few rears in the last 12 months and cant rate enough dunny 606 nice radious knob pattern ,excellent slide traction . 65% gone but supprisingly grippy .best tyre i have had yet… 👿

    Hi All,

i did not want to start a whole new thread.

i went to the local shop just to see what they had to offer for my 640

they recommended the dunlop 606 (something) looked the goods, but?

    they wanted $135 fr , $145 r:unsure: + fitting

seems like a bit over inflated if you ask me.

however i just wanted people’s experience, if any with the dunlop 606.

XY Transit..I’m usiing a 606 at present on my Husky…Its definately a slow wear tyre..like the bridgestone shot my Dunie has close to 200 klms a fair amount of that on Bitumen as i dont transit the bike for rides. As for grip…i rate the 952 much better and it was also a slow wear tyre but heaps of hook up.I padi 135 + fitting here in M’Boro qld. I had a MOTOZ before the 606…it had heaps of grip but was like licorice on the oad…very strong cases…i ran 6psi in it at times.(mostly) no rim hits no punctures..pity it didnt last longer..it was a great tyre for most conditions i rode.

The tyre was great, it hooked up all weekend ask Crash, I think it hooked up as well or even better than the scorpion he was using, I will take a picture of the wear or lack of it

I have now run it on hard pack at Mt Sugarloaf and the mud on the weekend, 10psi in the tyre and it is awesome, it is showing no real wear, its now done 480kms and I think will do 1500km to 2000km at this rate (Maybe) The retread was buggered at 480, its at Micks in the bin out the front, maybe he could take a picture for proof

Will keep you posted Rocket, at this stage looks like it will be worth the $160 purchase price

I have been running with a Dunlop D606 on the rear, so far I have gotten 1235km’s out of it and I reckon it’s got another 1000 to go. I am not the fastest rider out there but I’m not shy with the throttle either. The riding has been a mix of road, hard pack, rocky terrain and the wet of the caves ride and the tyre has performed well in all the conditions. On gthe front I have the Kenda Millville, last weekend in the wet it was brilliant, it felt really comfortable in corners and under brakes with good feed back. The weekend before it was the opposite in the dry although I had higher air pressure because I new there would be some fairly rocky sections and was concerned about getting a puncture. Prior to that I had always thought it handled quite well.

Here’s the rear tyre afte 1200 odd km’s

Note I have learnt to upload multiple pics on one post, thanks Chris
