With an early start to beat the heat we set off with 9 riders
1 KTM BULL 525
2 KTM Rat 576
3 G L Puddels
and some local track legends and a few mates
We started out on some open trails and ended up on some very nice single trail some very gnarley hill climbs and some fast main trail to cool off we met my wife for food and at lookout no. 2 and a refuel it was the decided to keep to faster trails to keep cooler the dust was thick but we had a strong breeze blow the worst away most of the time with a decent gap.we ended up covering around 130km and had a blast considering the weather. Amazingly the rat avoided any mishap this rideFebruary 7, 2009 at 11:24 am #121366Pity I couldn’t get my crap together to make it.Sounds like a good blast, I was thinking the dust would be bad though, but couldn’t be any worse that what we had last weekend.

February 7, 2009 at 11:42 am #121373I still want to know how you managed to get the water cart down into some of those lower gullies, the traction was great there in some spots, I also wished we had a camera for those bulls we saw in that back paddock, I did not think they were going to stop coming towards us:huh:
February 7, 2009 at 11:45 am #121374Do you think the Fondas could handle some of the ruts we went through
February 7, 2009 at 11:58 am #121375dont know only way is to get on to come along and see if it handles some of the ruts on garbage trail i still dont know how 520 got it up the hills with the smoothest rear slick i have seen to date
the bulls well there was a 5 strand barbwire fence betwen us n them.
the rain on thurs arvo didnt do mutch elesewere.i will try to order more for the next rideFebruary 7, 2009 at 12:08 pm #121378What about some of those jumps Puddles was pulling off, I bet he thought we were taking the piss out of him, I still say it was only 6 inches off the ground, well thanks again for letting us use the ranch as starting point and thanks to the cook for bringing the tucker to us, and do you think you could get out of 3rd gear next time, I wanted to try and hit the ton on Betty and every time I tried there was a bull in the way, The swim in the river was a refreshing way to finish, I say we get some floaties for Puddles as well, What do you think his reaction will be
February 7, 2009 at 12:09 pm #121379thought you guys were trying to kill me today I don’t think i’ll ever walk again & no the blisters were’nt there before the ride
February 7, 2009 at 12:16 pm #121380If you lernt the trails you could lead warp speed Rat and i think Puddles did realy well today as we didnt take it easy on him and he was never that far behind and even was pulling away from the sweep at the end i heard a rumour:lol:
February 7, 2009 at 12:19 pm #121381Yeah he only pulled away from the sweep because he had stopped for a piss
