    What started off as a good technical thread asking sensible questions and for the most part getting sensible answers has degenerated into poop once again!

    For the record Bruce I think the best way to test the braking issue is to replace the pads too. It cheap and at the very least will give you a spare set of pads. I would however opt for the standard units to start of with and see if it improves :)

    Interestingly, I am going to the shop today myself to get some new pads front and rear. Don’t know wether to get standard ones or opt for some aftermarket ones. I’m pretty happy with the braking performance of the standard units but can’t help being curious as to what the performance units offer.

    After Bruce’s issues I’m leaning towards the standard pads and saving the money….

    I would be inclined to read Batmans post re brake pads. He knows what the go is and it is and interesting read as well.

    I read it the other day. Everyone opinion is a bit subjective. A bike shop owner is no different :)
