    I went to an enduro a while ago and the scrutineer saw my helmet resting on my bars as everyone does. He told me not to leave it there as he saw a young do the same and the bike fell over destroying his helmet. Yeah right oh old mate I havnt had it happen yet so I will get away with it for a few more years…… last weekend my bike fell off the stand in the pits and you guessed it, helmet snapped where the chin piece starts. Yes I am an idiot.
    So moral to the story, dont leave your helmet pushed onto the bars and expect it to survive.
