I have decided that the time is ripe for rebuilding the trusty old RMX. I have a heap of new parts that have been waiting for the right time to be fitted to her. I did however need to get some engine parts together to do it properly. After literally months of research I have just paid for some engine bits to be sent from the states As listed below Red is what it would have cost me if sourced from Australia Approx
Item# Item Title Quantity Price Amount
230369736096 SUZUKI RM250 ATHENA COMPLETE GASKET SET RM 250 94-95
1 $47.99 $47.99 $150
360182058837 SUZUKI RM250 HOT RODS CONNECTING ROD RM 250 87-95
1 $81.99 $81.99 $195
360168944039 SUZUKI RMX250 RMX 250 ENGINE OIL SEAL SEALS KIT 95-98
1 $24.99 $24.99 $95
290290424397 SUZUKI RM250 CRANKSHAFT BEARING / SEAL KIT RM 250 94-95
1 $52.99 $52.99 $130
Subtotal: US $207.96
Postage and handling via Standard Int’l Flat Rate Shipping: US $36.00
Seller discounts (-) or charges(+): US $34.00 $103 for a gasgas 300 ring setTotal US $277.96
OIL SEALS KIT CHANGED TO A RM250 1995 and a set of RINGS for a Gas gas 300 have been added.
Works out at $327 AUD using paypal @86c/dollar
$673 – $327 = $346 saved
hope this example may help someone contemplating doing similar to there machine. I will still require other bits and pieces that will be sourced from Aussie but when I can save myself hundreds of dollars the choice is much easier.Ollie
December 18, 2009 at 11:36 pm #165708Hate to shop overseas myself as i try to buy from Australia but when you talk huge price difference, who could blame ya. I have bought stuff from o/s and saved a packet as well.
Have you got a link for the site where these parts come from.
December 18, 2009 at 11:40 pm #165709That’s a saving Ollie that cant be argued for sure

Two questions though, what happens when a part is in the wrong box or damaged in shipping say?
How does the warranty work for those parts say there is a problem?
$346 is hard to go against and I am not as I have shopped overseas.
Where did you get quoted here?
