Got a text message about a fortnight ago from Buzz saying theres a ride on and whos keen, living up to the Tamworthian way we were all in.
we met at our normal spot and the cool crew for this ride consisted of

    Buzz WR 450
    Andy Sherco 300 four stroke
    Ted300 KTM 300 2 stroke
    Luke KTM 300 2 stroke
    Will DRZ 400
MattV Sherco 300 2 stroke factory
    Me KTM 350
    Demus TTR 250
    Paul KTM 530
    Shane WR 450

The ride started out looking like it was going to be very eventful due to the lead rider hitting a rock 100 yards into the ride and getting speared straight off the track, then 200 yards past that there was carnage on a steep snotty little hill. :pinch: The crew soon came to grips with the conditions and the pace lifted to a pretty good speed, :) There were micro races going on all through the pack and Matt and I gave chase to Buzz but to his credit he was in the zone and we could catch him but not pass him.
We rode a great aray of singles and Andy lead the troops into some awesome singles that linked a lot of our trails together. B) I was even given the privilage of leading a bit of the ride, I must say wearing the vest is no where near the fun as riding in the pack. :( The ride flowed well apart from the 2 flats :( ,there was a lot of exposed rocks on the trails,(we need rain). It had become apparent that a certain sherco rider was out on a mission to roost as many people as he could. 👿 The puddles were few and far between but when he pulled up next to me when I was cornerman and said yeahhh 3 from 3 I figured he was having fun. 😆 It was this corner that I realised there was a problem back in the pack as the group had not come through, This is when the said sherco rider came back down from his corner and said,” I think the reason we are stopped could be my fault”   With this we slowly headed back along the trail and found out what the problem was, we are in drought and believe it or not we had a drowned DRZ, turns out Old mate stopped in a puddle and Buzz thought he would stop and help , ;) but when Buzz stopped in the puddle he lost his footing and him and the WR fell straight onto the DRZ and rider drowning the pair of them, Funny stuff , the puddle in question is the infamous LAKE BOLLOCKS for those who have ridden it you will know how deep it is:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: . Several attempts were made to get it going and when it died again we decided to tow it to the main rode and Andy came back in the ute and got it. Bikes loaded and off to the pub, :) :) :) thanks Andy and Buzz and Demus. another epic ride with a great crew… ;)

In times like this with water restrictions and all you should have washed your bike out at the lake like will, buzz and I with failed jump over the infamous lake

There’s not much that I can add to Boony’s report other than to say that Will had already drowned his bike once before I helped him to wash the mud out of his air box
I hope everyone enjoyed the ride.
Thanks go to Andy and Boony for helping to lead the ride and Damus for sweeping and fixing any small problems that arose.
Thanks to everyone else that came along for the fun.

    Cheers Buzz
