Now Now Girls play nicely!! I was the little bird and I said next to nothing but obviously that was too much
It sounds like we may have to go to plan b,c or d before we have even left!! We have a bit of time before we leave and the long range forecast is not always that great. Whatever happens it will be good and all part of the adventure!
If all else fails we maybe picking up our tyres, oil, filters etc when we try for Cameron cnr ride three. :huh:September 25, 2011 at 11:59 pm #209664Well it’s seems as though the Camerons Corner weather curse will strike again. It appears as though as hard as it is the believe it will be wetter than last year !!!
Three weather areas we are to visit look like this
It’s still a little bit early to make a final call but there is a fair chance this ride will be called off unless things change and we are watching and I am subscribed to the weather updates.
Just watch the thread but be aware that there is a lot of rain coming and they close the roads quicker than blink :pinch: What will happen if it’s cancelled I don’t know but I am going riding, Nick said he will go wherever. We may even slab 12hrs to BH and ride somewhere dryer.I know no more than that

September 26, 2011 at 12:11 am #209675Finders Ranges and west might be good this time of year
September 26, 2011 at 12:12 am #209676I have been looking at the bad weather too and like I said to my missus I’ll be putting my bike on a train to Perth and riding their if it’s the only dry place in oz
I will be keen to do any amount of slabbing to get to a dry area for a weeks ride so if worst comes to worst it may not be Camerons but it will be somewhere !!!!
September 26, 2011 at 12:15 am #209677As I have quickly found out it’s not the destination it’s the adventure, I’m in for watever! :woohoo:

quote]Dry as the proverbial nun over here around Karratha mate, actually found a track yesterday on my day off that made me wish I had my bike here. I had to use 4wd to get up it as it is steeper than it looks and covered in loose rocks.
September 26, 2011 at 12:47 am #199627This is 28 k’s on a wet road out there, not somewhere you want to be. This was less than 10mm overnight.
As said before we will still ride but maybe not out that way. But just think how good it will be when we finally get there guy’s
We have a big canvas to play with!!How lucky are we to live where we live. :woohoo:
September 26, 2011 at 11:41 am #209682Just on the phone to my Dad and he said “you are going to Camerons soon arent you?” I said yeah why “he said you know the weather is about to go bad out there, like it did last time you tried going there”
Says a lot for whats coming if a casual observer knows the weather is turning eh?

September 26, 2011 at 2:10 pm #199629I’ve noticed weather zone have updated the 28 day forecast and the “high” days has been changed… Interesting since they claim the 28 day forcast is updated every 7 days on the monday but it was updated in the last 2 hours…
I’ve done a little research and it is commonly agreed the 28 day forecast as a whole is based on historical data and that the first 3 days are fairly accurate the next 4 days 50/50 and after 7 days they seem to be throwing darts based on historical factors…
I agree a plan B should be prepared for however I wouldn’t count Camerons out yet… Just my opinion based on what I have read from the weather prediction community…
