Cameron Corner June Long Weekend

Tryhard and myself are going for a ride to Cameron Corner, Innamincka and back (or beyond) on the June long weekend.

To save time we are trailering the bikes from the Central Coast NSW to White Cliffs, leaving on the evening of Friday 10th June and jumping on the bikes when we arrive the next day.

We will ride Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and arrive back at the car Tuesday evening and trailer the bikes home and arrive on the Central Coast on the evening of Wednesday 15th June.

You are welcome to join us if you have a well prepared bike, are able to carry 700km of fuel, can put up with our sick sense of humour and Tryhard’s snoring.

The trailer and car can carry one extra person and bike.

We expect to do 500km per day, which will depend on conditions. It won’t be a race and we will see the sights but we will be going at a fair pace.

If it gets rained out or we can’t go to that area for any reason, we are still riding that weekend for the five days anyway.

There might be a few guys out there then.
A couple of mates and I are heading to the corner from Ballina (Northern NSW) on the same weekend.
We are hoping to get close to Bourke the Sunday evening and then head off Monday morning towards the corner.
Hoping to camp somewhere on the way to the corner Monday night perhaps then hit the corner Tuesday before turning around and coming back.
We are on two BMW 650 gs dakars and a Vstrom.

Can anyone suggest a good camp spot between Bourke and the corner where we can have a camp fire?
Is it a good place to camp at the corner itself?

Cameron Corner is a great place to camp, if you don’t want to camp they have a couple of Dongas. Don’t expect to get an early night there.

No real need to camp between Bourke and the Corner its an easy achievable ride in a day.

We’ll keep an eye out for you too though you may be coming the opposite direction? You’ll be on the way home while we are still heading out to the corner I think…..
