Maybe Bolls, we will have one on the bikes anyway mate we need it for just in case mate. There is the possibility the support vehicle and the bikes could be 100kms + apart at times. There are a couple of sections where the support vehicle and the bikes are traveling on different routes so we need one with the bikes

The photos and clips arent that good but you will get the idea. There are a lot of wash outs and dry sandy creek beds.

August 29, 2010 at 10:55 am #186665is that your harly in the driveway TB cool
August 29, 2010 at 10:57 am #186633I decided to see if the 28 ltr Safari tank which I bought for my DRZ 12 months ago actually fitted the bike. I have never needed it until now and thought I might be a good time to see if it was actually made for a DRZ
After a bit of persuasion the big tank was on and looking very beefy
I filled it to the brim and it was bang on 28 ltr, I was starting to wonder how an extra 20 kg would feel and handle. My first impressions when I wheeled the bike out of the shed were ‘bugger ,this feels way heavier than normal’
I went for a very slow steady lap of my farm and within 100m was banging up the gears and feeling very confident indeed, I rode down to the gravel road at the end of the drive and pinned it . This is great news no negative difference at all and if anything the wind is deflected away from the legs by the flared front of the tank :woohoo: :woohoo:
The tank messing up the bikes handling has been quietly playing in the back of my mind since I got in on this trip so I’m now well happy
Heres some pics
