check the generator has a constant voltage output or you’ll fry both your chargers and your batteries. Any decrease in voltage will increase amperage and buy buy electronics.Well yeah good point hadn’t thought of that because my generator has and I think we are using Bollocks, Bollocks generator details please?

I’ve got a small 800W inverter generator we can take if you wish. It is safe for running/charging electrical gear etc as well as a couple of lights for the camp if required.Mick

September 8, 2010 at 6:05 am #187119I had a good phone conversation with TB this morning about the gear we’re taking on this trip and other bike related stuff and then I got to work.
10 minutes later my left shin looked like this ,so did my left arm and left thigh,
it was the result of a laborer on a building site throwing low density fibro sheeting onto a 1 st floor verandah. I was with the customer measuring lights when the fibro gave way and I took a quick decent through the verandah , stopping only when my leg bent back enough to wedge my shin between the joists. At 1st glance broken leg for sure,( and possible busted arse).
My point of putting this in the thread is my very 1st thing I thought and said through confusion and pain was “NOOOOOO! The Cameron Corner ride” This surprised the owner who was thinking about getting an ambulance while I was hopping round chanting”walk it off you pussy its not broken”.
Its not broken but very f….ing sore , but it just shows how bike trips can rule your every day thoughts.

September 8, 2010 at 7:59 am #182237Sorry to hear about your debacle Nick.. I can feel your pain.. Not your physical pain but the pain of possibly not going on the corner ride.. I’m in the same predicament, sort of.. My knee is still pretty sore after 4 and a half weeks since the original incident and 1.5 since the flare up due to riding before I was ready.. While all my planning is still going on the assumption I will be going.. The Thursday night before the weekend in question the final decision will be made.. If there is any discomfort with the knee I will pull out as I’m not going to suffer for 6 days and risk having to pay heaps of money to get me and my bike home from the middle of nowhere..
Rest mate Rest…
