I just wanted to thank owl02 for organizing the phone conferance this morning , without it I would have missed out on Bollocks’ back up plans if Peps missus hasn’t had the baby ( I liked the Swedish option  ) and a few things I hadn’t thought of.

So thanks Gary and hopefully you can make the next big ride!

Well we had our meeting today thanks to all involved. A special thanks to Clare, we turned up to Banana breads, carrot cakes (I think they were) Coffee tea all set around a table with power and a phone cable it was quite the spread. We had Bollocks, Nickj and Moose phone in. (Special credit to Moose who phoned in doing the whole thing including the PIN etc all on his own without any of the kids helping  )

Sitting around the table of knowledge, Boulder, Mal (From Sutto’s), Mickp, Owl 02 (tech genius), Jeffro, Lotsa and myself.

We got through everything its all sorted now, we are super organised bring it on

    Gent’s,
I can arrange a bridge at any time it’s easy. The hard part is getting the guest connected. Some just struggle with technology I guess.
Anyway, I can’t remember exactly how many people I’m transporting gear to Condo for so here is my plan.

I’m picking up Krustofersons bike with him late Saturday afternoon. We are then heading up to TB’s to load everybody’s gear and pack around his bike. Then it’s back to Krusty’s and trailer into his garage for the night. I’m doing this to save myself time on Sunday as I can’t get away until 8.00am. I’m on ruggie duty saturday night.

I hope this suits all concerned.

Just been going through the bank and Mastercard statements, I have spent over $6,000 on various things for the different bikes and the trip in the last couple of months,,,,,,,,,,,, and still cheaper than a wife :D :D :D. The biggest single outlay was for the suspension tuning on the DRZ and the Veestrom at $1650 including new headstock bearings and removing the swingarm to check the bearings there as well as checking the valves and cleaning out the carby on the DRZ (when they started it the fuel ran out the overflow), they found bits of fluff and other dirt in there, probably should have replaced the crumbling airfilter a bit sooner

I fitted the new chain and sprockets last night, I fitted a rivet link instead of a clip link for reliability (I havent had a clip link fail I just did it for piece of mind on this trip). I purchased a riveting tool from Sutto’s, thanks Mal

I greased all my lever pivots and checked the new spare levers would fit ;) packed a new spark plugRepacked the bags, and the spare kits for everyone that will travel in the service vehicle

    lads.
Pep and i had a little meeting yesterday over a few cold ones :cheer:
We are both of the opinion that “the jobs right”.
There is no need to bring any thing extra.
We have everything, honda gen, lights fridges, eskys and all the other little creature comforts to make you all feel like you are staying at a 5 star resort(except for the cooking  )
All we ask is what ever you want to put in the support vehicle keep it to a minimun and light.Overloaded tourists with camper tralers and funny hats get bogged with too much weight  .All good to have one major tool box to service all bikes. We don’t want 8 of em ;).
Please leave your dinner suits at home and try turning your underpants inside out on alternative days..you get my drift? :P

Fitted the Rear TKC this arvo, wasn’t too bad a job to do. Hardest part is breaking the bead on the tubeless tyres. Lucky I remembered someone recently mentioning using a G-Clamp. Scratched the rimes a bit but the old black texta will fix that. Just need to get hold of a 12mm allen key so I can get the front wheel off to fit that one. Changed the rear brake pads while I was at it, they were only half worn but better to change them now and keep the half worn ones for spares, may do the same on the front depending on their condition when I pull them.
    Tick tock :woohoo:

Thanks Boony, I have a mate with a farm near St. George and he has said the same. But I got another mate heading past White Cliffs tomorrow and he’s going to ring me when he’s out that way.

Not that it matters we’ll be heading somewhere on two wheels and that’s what matters hey !!
