TB have they stopped making them in a 17 or they just aren’t available at the moment?
I know a couple of years back I looked at them for my transalp and they were a 140/80 17.(Michelin size of course)
Mate I am sure they only ever made them in 18’s (but I have been wrong many a time before :laugh: )
I havent been able to find a listing worldwide for a 17 :huh: I have run them on the XR and I love them

A few guys at work are going to Cape York & are looking for a suitable tyre, I’ve read a bit & it seems for the lower price of the T63 you don’t get the longevity of the Desert. For a similar price the 606’s last longer

I have a 606 on the back of the Tenere now, it was days old when I purchased the bike. Its bald as a babys bum now and is around 2400kms old
When the bike gets home soon I will take photos of it. I have bought two 63’s so I will have to get about putting some miles on one of them and see what they will do . I looked at the Dunlop 908RR but they dont do a 17 The Pirelli scorpion rally looks good as well but again no 17 I will put some miles on some different ones and work something out for the ride and after the ride.TB

Knew I’d seen 17″ Desert’s somewhere recently, although I don’t believe they are worth this much.
A local Husky dealer said he could do 18″Deserts for $160ish in the lead up to Finke

On a trip like this I have thinking about how to keep a clean filter , I’m thinking spares and filter skins??
I heard the dust stays airbourne for a whole month once disturbed:)
!!Any advise ??
