AnonymousI think the discs look blue from the reflection of the rims :p Either that or it must be the lack of engine braking compared to the fiddy!
Finally, check Tracy’s form out of the Wii! She was giving it some beans
January 5, 2009 at 12:32 am #116611It was an early start, wouldn’t have been so bad if we hadn’t played the Wii till around 11.30 DOH!
Tracy started the day’s carnage early wiping out on the back door, with blood I might add. Tiny’s Biatch dropped him up at quarter past five in the morning as he had dropped his bike the day before to be loaded, quarter past five drop of, impressive. We dove out to Lithgow and enjoyed some low fat pies for breakfast lol and on to Capertee, it was a great morning fresh air and out of town perfect!
We quickly suited up and left Capertee,
this is one of my favorite rides, it is rocky in places, really rocky in places as Tracey found out a kms 7, it’s a really rocky down hill that can catch you out and well Tracy ate it big time, it was here I noticed that she had no elbow guards etc.
Tiny and I had completed the hill and after a short period of no Champo or Tracy we thought we had better venture back and check out what’s doing, Tracy was sitting on the rocky downhill looking very 2nd hand, Champo had checked her out and was now replacing the broken lever. Tracy had hit her head hard  and was pretty unsteady on her feet but she decided to push on, Champo doubled her to the bottom and I doubled him back and bought the bike down.
We continued crossing the Turon river about half a dozen times and heading up towards Sunny Corner,http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=hAUHG0VnQI4
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=0jE0X54xl7Aits mentioning here that we came to a loose rocky up hill that we have done many a time on this ride, I have seen Andrew get stuck on the same hill and Chris as well (although Chris claims Andrew stuffed it for him lol) Tracy just motored up
, we had a great ride over through Dark and Sunny Corners, I scouted some single line to reduce the 7klm bitumen run to the servo for the Hillend ride on the 31st. During this pine forest scouting we came across the hill that Boulder, Tiny, Moto and I played at on the Zig Zag Orange ride. I fitted my helmet cam and we started ripping up and down the hill, Champo and I got into a side by side drag up the hill, the hill is rutted and has roots etc everywhere, Champo’s TM just rips through this stuff and mate can pedal, we had a good run, he got me, I am claiming that he won because my lane turned into his and we would have crashed, but really he had pulled in front enough to clear me but hey I say we would have crashed and I had to back of lol even though that may not me exactly correct  (don’t read that bit Champo)
We poked out of the forest onto the bitumen and Champo asked did I wish to drag race his 300 smoker, knowing that I would have top speed all over his bike as mine is a big heavy four stroke with a portly rider and was over geared, but he would out accelerate me to around 110kph where his is pinned in top. We lined up and of we went at it, to my amazement and to Champo’s the bikes remained side by side to about 110kph when the TM maxed out, and I kept winding out, how over geared is my bike to cruise? When Champo maxed out at 110kph I was shifting from 3rd to 4th and still had 5th to go  .
We stopped and tried again same result, I was pretty proud of my BRP, as it is a big heavy slow revving 4 banger compared to the 300 two smoker or any bike people tell me lol :silly:We fueled up and had some lunch, quick adjustment to Tracy’s brake lever and we headed back up the Great Western Hwy for about a klm and back up to the pine forests, we took the Eskdale track, or as Crash and some of the others that I have taken through there call it, The Poo Track, because its shit hot :woohoo: , all us boys turned it up through there, it was great. We waited for Tracy under the sign, Champo paid homage the BRP as it was in its element up there, steer it on the throttle, it was phat fun. I don’t think he thought the picture while he was playing around would see light but hey I have it
Waiting for Tracey near Bathurst
We did a dirt road run down the mountain that goes for about 12 kays and has some many hair pins, of camber corners and is the most slippery surface, there was a fair bit of pace about the later part of the 12kms and when Champo pulled up where I had stopped we noticed both the discs on the TM had gone blue with the heat!
We continued over through Turon Gates and back to Capertee, on one of the open dirt roads through Turon Gates Champo opened the TM up and I watched him drifted it through a couple of corners which was real good. At the last river crossing we did there was two options, deep river or bridge where the local policeman and his family (out in the company police car, country cops!) seemed to be having a picnic, never wanting to be that close to a policeman
, I went through the creek, Champo came down and looked at me than the bridge but I looked honest so he rode across but the TM stopped when he got out, then Tiny rode halfway across till the Husky took water in
. We signaled Tracy to turn around and use the bridge but she got stuck, Champo who had been rocking his bike to get the water out got it going and went across the bridge to help Tracy, I rode back through the water to help and then rode back again, Tiny got the chain saw going and we rode back to Capertee.
Thanks guys for the great ride, we drove back to Moto’s corner for a quick look at how it happened, we did a video re enactment (is that how you spell it) and I will post it on that thread later.

Special mention for Tracey, she is tough here’s some photo of her bruises from her crash, Champo has some photos from the crash site he should post

January 5, 2009 at 12:56 am #116618Oh I forgot  to mention I had a drop whilst on the hill playing in the pine forest, I had the helmet cam on but the aim of the camera is all wrong  , I will edit it and put just the crash on lol

AnonymousGood report mate. Only wish I could have been there, especially after you phoned me up 3 times that day to tell me how good the ride was and how much moe hard core Tracy is than me
I think we should start to get more action shots of our rides, looking forward to seeing the helmet cam footage
January 5, 2009 at 1:11 am #116624The footage is crap mate, it is just a foot in front of the mud guard, but I will edit it to couple of seconds before the crash and the bike laying there and looking back down the hill etc
